In Germany it must be turned on and you can't turn it off. In Off position the DRL are still on.

Bullshit. I own this car and the DLR are on or off. There is absolutely no state between whatever the position of the light switch. My right DRL(lower part) failled after 8 years and 160 000km. In 🇨🇭 it is mandatory to have your DRL on during the day.

Sorry you had to deal with that. You should look up the Audi Bulletin AWA-21-01 where certain model have an extended warranty up to 10 year/ 100K miles to cover this repair. I'm glad Audi identified this but it is a real problem. My A5 was at around 50,000 and it happened. Now I hope to get it fixed in July. Such a long wait.

You can replace the battery, but you will need to configure it using a scanner. No need to be OBD11

This also happens to Megane IV's. The auto does almost nothing to help this. Auto basically means the car will more consistently switch lights on which reduces voltage to the LEDs. This is a design flaw that should trigger a recall/free replacement and certainly not the $2-4k bill... otherwise it's blatant planned obsolescence. There is a way on Megane to modify the voltage sent to the DRLs such that even in daylight they will last longer. but they will still fail eventually.

I find the red cable but still not work. My fuel door a bit tifferent never opened by pressing the door itself just by pressing the button in the driver door. The dash sign is ok nothing warning come on and saying that I can refuel now after I press the button. What an annoying thing this is...I have a A3 etron 2015 Thankfully I can still run in town on battery but can not go further right now. Any advice please for me?

Thanks for your great video, especially showing the effort that you have to put in to removing the light capsule! It's not easy and I found was best done using some grippy gloves and a bit of grunt.

Is it okay to replace a bulb with a slightly higher wattage? Like my car has a 12V 16W. But I found the same 12V bulb but with 18W. Would it cause any issue? Thanks

yes it will make an issue.. Will not match with the relay
