I hesitate to ask this with the way comment sections on the internet are these days, but is there a reason the flag on the right sleeve is backwards from the normal portrayal?

Wow. I havent heard/seen anyone working with Mammoth Molar before, and had to look it up. Its so cool! I had no idea there are relatively large fossils of Mammoth Teeth? And they look so interesting! Thanks.

I know you got it figured out already, but I wonder if you could use the same bracket they use to mount the tempering oven to stack it.

Have you every tried a slack belt on your grinder to knock the corners off and smooth it a little instead of using the dremel?

Beautiful high-contrast Damascus blade!!! Wouldn’t be real knife making without some blood lost in the battle.
@american191112 күн бұрын
Beautiful knife, is that contrast as dark that type of Damascus steel will go?
@gentrycustomknives800810 күн бұрын
No you can get it much darker

Can you elaborate on the Damascus Or do you buy the blanks made that way. Hope my question is not ignorant.

Been watching your videos for a while now.. just want to say thanks. Had a couple of self forged steels that i didnt want to "f" up but i took the plunge to freehand grind with tips from you.. throw the jig away! I know ill mess one up but just like a good carpenter you know how to hide mistakes. Thanks keep grinding!

Is this similar to damagrip canvas?
@gentrycustomknives800810 күн бұрын
I’m not sure 🤔
@beardedpatriot010 күн бұрын
@gentrycustomknives8008 I believe it is. I just finished it and man it was a pain. If you have an IG or FB page, I'd love to follow for more tips. I don't have nice equipment like you, just a dremel and miter saw lol. So when I eas shaping the dama canvas, it was eating up my sanding wheels. I ended up using a carbide bit. Just glued and set the pins yes.

Hello. Thank you for all the tapes you make. Why don't you cover the blade with cling film or adhesive paper while gluing? Why don't you work with surgical gloves?

Hi. Nice video. Thank you. I like the more subtle Damascus finish. Do you coffee etch after that and how do you protect the final finish? (Dalstrong talk about "LionShield-treated to prevent wear and tear, rust, and corrosion" and I'm wondering what that might be?)
