This is the first part, will probably finish the series in the next part. Cheers

Well, I show everything you need to rebuild the network, and there's the blender tutorial that uses similar nodes, I believe you can recreate it with both videos. ;)

it`s really awesome see you doing bifrost tutorials again. Thank you!

I'm very curious to know what are the upsides of using bifrost compared to Houdini ? Thank you for your videos!
@cgsideКүн бұрын
Hey, I've only scratched the surface of both, so I am not the most entitled person to say one or the other. I enjoy working in both. Houdini is a finished product, bifrost is still under development, but it comes "free" with maya , so worth giving it a try. That's the most I can say, honestly. Have fun playing with both, I have several tutorials in this channel if you want to check it out. Cheers

Currently, Bifrost is the only product on the market that has spatial adaptability.

A lot to unpack here (sorry lol). But for real, this is SUPER helpful thank you. These nodes are not very well documented.
Thank you so much for sharing this! I hadn't even considered this method for creating room maps, but it's working wonderfully and has saved me a tremendous amount of time.

i can do this at cinema 4d ?
@cgside17 күн бұрын
Hi, never used cinema 4D, sorry.
@simranjeetsingh941518 күн бұрын
so this for basecolor, I cant figure out how to do the same for roughness and metal maps since theyre connected with alpha to the shader and there isnt a similar paramete on triplanar node
@cgside17 күн бұрын
Duplicate the triplanar node with the same parameters for each texture and connect to the shader. I think that should work

I know Painter has a way of combining height maps that will allow multiple displacement maps AND texture maps to blend in a realistic way. I forget what the feature is called in Painter... height mask something or other.

This tutorial is excellent, but man it's so freaking fast man. Lots of rewinding 10x in one area here and there. Overall it's awesome and the proceduralism is killer for cookies. Thank you.

What small thing am I missing?
@cgside25 күн бұрын
I believe it's this line: cmds.sets( name-"polycount{}_SET".format( str(key) , you need to close the brackets : cmds.sets(name="polycount{}_SET".format(str(key)))

Hi, really nice. Not really played with pop fluid but I can now see the possibilities, I'd have probably tried a flip sim or vellum fluid but for some things I can see the benefit. Thanks.

Lovely, as always! Thank you so much (The rooster is just doing his thing, what can you do? :) You're very lucky to be living with animals all around you, doing what you love to do which is 3D Art in Houdini) Your work and aspirations are very close to my heart, as I can see that you are basically using Houdini in a generalist capacity, much like I am. Not too many Houdini generalists around as its vastness does tend to steer its users toward specialization, especially in the field of VFX, which does come as no surprise really :) Can't wait for the next one. Lotsa cheers :)

Thank you for your lovely comment :) Maybe one day I'll share a photo of the rooster as he is getting famous :D
