2nd part is very useful, i managed to rotate the uvs in the past but it was running in a for loop with a dot product driving a uv transform because i had no clue how to use quaternions your method looks much cleaner, thanks!

I'm a little confused. The result of using uvlayout directly looks very similar to the result of the custom operation🤔🤔🤔

The uv layout by itself might not give you the correct orientation by default.
