10cs per min is a more achievable goal for an iron player in the short term than say, "champion mastery" or "better game state assessment", and gives the player a consistent and measurable advantage over their iron brethren in a way that circumvents any mechanical or knowledge deficiencies. what you said is sound advice for players looking to invest in the game long term and improve based on that premise, but for a content creator just looking for juice up their rank for content without giving too much thought to how the game is supposed to be played, 10cs per min really isnt that bad of a tip to give.

An issue with iron is that diffrent season have different amounts of players. There was a time where iron had 4% of the players, but this season iron 4 has 4% of players and iron as a whole has 17% of players, making it 4x bigger.

Voli has ALWAYS been strong, if you know how to use him. The Navori's build is good, but I've always preffered Heartsteel his W healing, becomes INSANE when you have more max health (and thusly, more missing health).

That 3rd point on the beginning reddit post made me think of a friend of mine. He played almost exclusively Vi and Xin Zhao, and came from a smite background. He had almost no idea of the capabilities of champions released post 2014, and he was still a stronger jungler than gold and plat players just because his macro was better. Alot of people seem to try and cope with the fact that someone can do well in the game without having to study every champion and matchup.

When I went from being okay with having 5+ deaths out of laning phase on Sion to trying to limit myself to 1 or 2, my Sion winrate went up about 15%. I love watching the Baus and have learned a ton from his gameplay but his playstyle is just impossible to replicate consistently.

Jungle is OVERLY represented every single season in solo q in high elo. There is 5 roles in the game but over 40% of players are jungle. This is not true that "we would see nothing but jungle" at the top of high elo if jungle was so "easy". There is 5 roles everygame and all the good junglers are simply carrying 4 other accounts which are also climbing in elo. If we look at stats across multiple categories you will see jungle is the strongest in solo queue. Jungle has been rank 1 for the last 8 seasons on NA server. If you pull a pool of the top 20, you will see that jungle is over represented and this goes for every single season at any point and anytime. What I mean by over represnted is, higher than 20%. Of course by nature we would not see each role holding 20% evenly but to see higher than 40% of the top role being jungle every single season is a sign. This information is everywhere and even voted by community. Even riot phreak pointed out (see dev video 13.12) that jungle when autofilled is an auto loss (easiest to predict game outcome). This is because jungle is the most influental role in the game. What this means is, if you are better than your oppoonent jungle you will win the game. Other roles DO NOT have this luxury..period.... As of this youtube comment, if you look at OP.GG RIGHT NOW. Top 10 (leaderboards) for NA server 5 of them are junglers This is over 50% in a game where there exists 5 roles. How is this not alarming? Look at the past 8 seasons, you will clearly see jungle rank 1 finishing every single time.

When you stop thinking about lp gains is when you starts to get lp gains. Ive been playing since season 8, perennial bronce player, until season 12 when i really pushed but couldnt get gold and all i thought about was lp. Then season 13 split 1, i stopped thinking about lp and started looking out what i was doing wrong or right and just trying to improve. And it made it much more enjoyable, and i hit gold by the end of split 1. I decided i would push for plat split 2, got placed in silver 4 and climbed to gold in like 15 games, and then hit a wall for maybe 50 or 60 games, and then something clicked and i when from gold 2 to plat 4 in maybe 20 games. I mained udyr, and this season i decided to play viego and its been a slow grind, up and down the silver ladder and now back into gold 3. I think i have the champion mastery down and a build i enjoy playing, and i alternate between udyr and viego depending on team comp. Its been very fun so far this season. Anyways, enough yapping, i gotta queue.

Hey there, I have a cursed account that I refuse to play on anymore. I've played since 2013, played just about every role proficiently (except for mid lane). I liked to bounce between normals and ranked games, sometimes with friends, sometimes solo. But I think it's crazy that in both game modes, I get queued against current/former Diamond players. My highest rank has been Emerald, I've never hit Diamond and most of my friends are Plat or below. Additionally, in both game modes, most my teammates are either Gold/Silver and below. Yet the enemy teams are Plat and above, Riot Matchmaking will consistently pair me with a Bronze top/mid/bot into an enemy Diamond top/mid/bot player. I know it's the start of the season, but what the actual fuck. I never feel like I'm playing against people who are my skill level or rank. They're either way better than me, or way worse than me -- no in-between. And so far, that's across 50 games played this season with another 100+ games last season (before reset) being the exact same way. Anyone else experience this? It actually might make me quit playing the game. Hidden MMR has never made sense to me -- the fact that League is one of the few games where your rank can be different from your actual MMR just seems ass backwards.

I honestly feel like you guys are just really mean to new players. Most of your advice to new players if they have a lot of questions is "dont be the problem" simply because they are overwhelmed at the amount of stuff to learn. It is your job as a coach to help narrow down their strengths and weaknesses, not to decide if someone is a "bad client" or not.

I have not yet watched this, will do later, but does my champ pool makes sense as a top laner? Main renekton, my go to champ, then garen, sett, mordakaiser, then darius, poppy, vi. If i have to go mid, i play renekton, mord, and ziggs. Jungle i pretty much only play amumu, if hes taken or ban i take vi. Bot lane its ziggs, or swain or ezreal if we need AD. Support leona and tresh.

How is this role up for debate as the easiest? You have to understand lanes, track enemies if (and WHEN) your laners won't, and shotcall neutral objectives way more than any other role. Farming is easier, sure + you're not in a constant dance w/ an enemy champ. But it's definitely not the easiest. In soloq, support is the easiest. I've played Jungle, Support, Mid, and Top. I started playing season 3 and am still an on/off player. That entire time I was silver. Then, split 2 2024, I decided to VOD review and practice hard as a Jungler. Still silver, close to gold (Fiddle OTP). Swapped to OTP-ing Senna as support, and in 3 weeks of the same process and 1 singular VOD review session with vv2 and I went to plat4 w/ plat2 mmr. - I can literally just leave my lane with little to no personal consequence, and win another lane or an objective fight for free. When I'm missing, I generate the same pressure as an unknown jungler and I lose less than any other role the entire time. - Jungle farms easily? I literally don't farm. My starter item turns into a free item with income bonuses for clicking minions, towers, OR enemy champions AND it has infinite wards. - All of my items are cheaper, and when they're not, my champ gets free built-in extra income (pyke, senna). - Even vision control, which is everyone's responsibility but falls on mostly support in soloq, is not hard at all. Knowing good wards takes literally no effort. - The average rank of a Janna main is Platinum 4 while having one of the highest main %s in the game. If that doesn't speak to how simple the role is, I don't know what does. If he just spammed Janna he would've gotten plat much earlier.

The order of importance in a match for objectives: Nexus > Towers > Epic Monsters > Blue/Red Buff > Inhibitor Nexus wins the match. Towers are so high up for three reasons: It expands you and your team's access to the map. It boosts the defense and damage of that lane's minions, permanently, allowing it to always be shoving further into the enemy's side while you're off doing something else important. You'll get closer to destroying the Nexus and winning the game. Epic Monsters appear only so many times in a match and offer permanent buffs; or temporary, game winning buffs. Also denies the enemy from gaining those benefits, and can be a good place to turn the game around in a teamfight or push the snowball further down the hill. Large Monster hunting prevents the enemy from benefiting from those bonuses, the gold, and experience, and you also get a useful buff. Inhibitor is just a barrier in the way of getting to the last two turrets and Nexus, and you'll still need to wait for an entire new wave to travel across the entire map to benefit from Super Minions. This doesn't at all help you at killing the enemy team to secure access to those last two towers and Nexus. The priority of Inhibitors can go all the way up to second place in the order if there are no more Nexus turrets and you have someone who can reliably backdoor, however.

As someone who has played every role up to diamond and now plays support as secondary role. Support is 100% the easiest, atleast it is in Masters and below. IDK how it is in higher elos.
