The UAE's Empty Quarter is a place of staggering proportions. A quarter of a million miles of desert, the Empty Quarter covers parts of four countries. The Empty Quarter is the backdrop to countless legends and fables, as well as key moments in Middle Eastern history and culture. And, rather incredibly, it's a 45 minute drive from Dubai. The Empty Quarter is a potent reminder that balance is necessary and important when traveling.

When i was watching this i was hoping you were actually going to go to the empty quarter. This is just a touristy activity to do an hour from the city The real empty quarter is stunning - it is to the south of the UAE on the border with Saudi Arabia. It’s where the desert sequences in Dune and Star Wars are shot. It is insanely beautiful. With kilometres and kilometres of dunes that are 200-300m high. You can even see the landscape change on google maps when you look at liwa.

Another gem, fantastic that you came to the region. Would be great if you had the chance to come to Oman. Would give you another perspective. Keep up the good work team. You both do a fantastic job.

@@attachetravel I flew into Jeddah which is near Mecca and Medina, so that's a pretty good place to start. Easy to rent cars and explore the area.

@@attachetravel of course my hometown Jeddah. I might be stretching it but Jeddah kinda has LA vibe with minimum towers and waterfront, but same time has a character. Old Jeddah is listed in UNESCO. Only 1 or 2 public beaches unfortunately, but the private ones like Indigo & Oia has amazing beaches. people hands down the most open minded compared to other cities in Saudi. Try bbq fish and brown rice. Saudi in general is known for hospitality. Enjoy and welcome.. oh yes other cities to visit in winter .. Alula duh

Glad to see a different perspective. Dubai is mostly a holographic projecting of culture. It's best experienced as drone shots and desktop backgrounds. An empty city with no culture, nothing to do, except spend money on goofy designer baubles and look at the desert. No matter how many travel shows I see on Dubai, the city just seems like a skeleton.
