Dang it;;; I watched all this and it looks like it might be a Windsor engine but he never says. Now on the Holly website they don’t specifically sell 351 Cleveland sniper kits so I’m guessing the install here was on a Windsor engine.

Good video, my doors aren't this worn ('84 c20), but this seems like a good fix, I'm just curious why you didn't go with Bondo filler as opposed to JB weld, nothing against it really other than bondo setting up quicker. Great idea, thanks! Have you rehabbed your vent windows yet? That's a party.

Factory did not use gaskets on the exhaust manifolds as you don't need them and they just cause problems. As long as the head and manifold surfaces are flat it will seal fine. You also won't have problems with the bolts backing off. They back off with gaskets because the gaskets relax and when that happens you loose the bolt clamping force which is also why the gaskets fail. The other reason the factory did not use gaskets is get better heat transfer iron to iron.

Great channel, thanks for the videos. I have a 1963 falcon I'm dropping in a 302 and T5 from a 88 mustang with rebuilt gt40p heads and sanderson ff6-302-p, did you have any issues with the headers sealing up against the heads? I've heard that the exhaust ports and headers dont quite match up making them hard to seal. Thanks again, and any tips would be appreciated :) Also - how does she drive?! would love to see more videos

Good luck with the AOD, can't say i had any luck with mine , lots of money wasted many times. And for engine mounts factory mounts work fine , and less vibration, just drill thought the lh mount, use a counter sink allen bolt with a nylock nut , don't tighten up leave some clearance- no more breaking mounts, works great

Coolness brother. Reading the comments, I see that you smoked the trans. Sorry about that. Any idea how that happened given that you set the TV pressure correctly? It looks like a used (not rebuilt) trans. Did the mighty Cleveland finish it off? Looks like you may be using a Lokar throttle cable. If so, can you give us the part number. Keep up the good work buddy.

I just bought a 74 Nova and my plastic door panels are in about the same condition, I'm glad I came across this video but I have some questions. How long will this fix last? can the edge sealer be painted over with the 2 in 1 paint and primer or do you think I should use some self etching primer first? like you i'm not looking for it to be PERMANANT but I do want it to last a year or so before I have to replace them because idk if you have priced them but they are EXPENSIVE.

Bergman Auto Craft makes very nice steering & suspension kits. I converted my '69 Swinger to '73-up K-member, suspension & steering pieces since I had to go through it all anyways...before anybody gets upset, the 340 was yanked out in about '78 and a '68 383 powertrain was installed along with wedging the Road Runner rear end in by the original owner (it was all shackled up & air shocks, totally hillbilly engineering). Not cheap, but it is a massive transformation

One bad thing about a AOD and a old car is that if you know the wiring on the trans the car can be stolen in like 1 min by just using the trans. Came across this with my '69 Torino. TV adjustment was fine using Locar kit.

We popped an AOD into our 73 Mach 1 Three years ago. Terrific move. It helped bring back the upper end performance of our power train. The original engine was a 302 2v with a C4 and 2.79:1 rear axle gear set. The prior owner repaced the 302 with a street/strip built 351W (not C), and the 2.79:1 gears with a 3.5:1 tractionlok unit. It raaan great, but the built 351 power eventually caused the c4 to give up the ghost, so rather than rebuild it and beef it up, I decided to pop in a rebuilt and beefed up AOD. Wow! We have our high end performance back, and with an engine capable of pushing it through the air resistance at high speeds. At highway speeds we are turning almost 2,000 RPM, as opposed to just over 3,000 RPM. That leaves a lot in reserve for "blowing out the carbon" at WOT. heh heh... kzbin.info/www/bejne/lXfPYXVjptKfgqs

I had to trim the shaker base, deepen the pocket for the base to fit around the distributor. I would guess I widened it by about a inch on each end and also deepened it to where the inside wall almost touches the air cleaner. Thanks for watching!

Not your Fault - the ADDCO 150 front sway bar "Does Not FIT" these #Mopar #Abody cars. Had the same problem on my 69 Barracuda v8, tried it with after market shock mounts - had your problem. Bought OEM lower control arms, now the arms reach but are 2.5" too narrow for the Tabs. Grrrr.... Lower OEM Tab holes, hole -2- hole is 46" . ADDCO Sway bar is 45" end to end putting the eyelets at 43". Seeking problem resolution is why I found your vid. Think i am going to take the bar to a machine shop and see if they can bend each arm out 1" (TL 2") without heating it. (Wish me luck... It's a 1 1/8" THICK BAR!).
