Good video, my doors aren't this worn ('84 c20), but this seems like a good fix, I'm just curious why you didn't go with Bondo filler as opposed to JB weld, nothing against it really other than bondo setting up quicker. Great idea, thanks! Have you rehabbed your vent windows yet? That's a party.

I ended up selling the truck last year and did not get around to the vent windows. Only reason I used JB Weld was I had a bunch of it lying around. Thanks for watching!

I just bought a 74 Nova and my plastic door panels are in about the same condition, I'm glad I came across this video but I have some questions. How long will this fix last? can the edge sealer be painted over with the 2 in 1 paint and primer or do you think I should use some self etching primer first? like you i'm not looking for it to be PERMANANT but I do want it to last a year or so before I have to replace them because idk if you have priced them but they are EXPENSIVE.

I would use self etching primer before painting. I don’t have any experience with that though so take it with a grain of salt. Thanks for watching!

@@meatsrodshop7116 well for what it's worth I've been a paint and body guy for 35 just have no experience with interior and I was thinking the same thing.
