Abs dont maintain length. They are type 2 muscles only for power
@AmericanPTstuttgartАй бұрын
And to create power a muscle must lengthen and shorten therefore (especially with our desk bound lifestyle) the possibilities for the CNS to lose the “proper” length/tension relationship def exists (in my opinion) . However, the most important thing is that my client is now better after months. Somehow no one else could figure this out. . So maybe it’s an “idiot savant” situation - most he is finally better and back to CrossFit without pain
@Myo.mechanicАй бұрын
@@AmericanPTstuttgart good that you helped him. However, abs are phasic muscles and do not maintain or act similar to psoas. They are very different if you cut them open.

I love the video and the great explanation- both the "how to" and the "why do". Following up on the other person's comment and your reply about how to use crutches when there are 2 problem feet/legs would be helpful. I was traveling back to the US and broke my leg in the Belgian airport and sprained the other ankle. They put a cast on one leg and wrapped the sprained ankle on it so I also appreciated the other comment about how to walk when the other foot has a cast or a boot on it. It's I couldn't get the heel to toe situation going. I'm sorry that you broke your leg and hope that your leg is in recovery. Any comments that you have or videos that you can do please find a way to let me know. Thanks for all that you do these are wonderful. I've never had to use crutches much less these European style and it feels very unnatural. I am stuck in a Belgian hotel room and watching your videos and trying to learn what nobody told me to do in the emergency room so that I can somehow manage to fly home internationally. You are a blessing.

I am using underarm crutches and they are really hard on the wrist and hand. I definitely need to look into forearm crutches.
@AmericanPTstuttgart6 ай бұрын
They are annoying in their own sense (they seem to fall sooo much more when they are leaning against a wall and not being used) but they are def nice because they don’t “sit” directly under our armpits
@dalepaladin9166 ай бұрын
I stopped to watch your video because of the part of your title about numbness "No More Numb Arms." I have the standard crutches that go under the armpit and have been experiencing numbness in the hand wrist and fingers of the right hand, because as I later learned, I was using the crutches incorrectly. When I saw that part of your title, I had hoped you were offering a solution. But unless I missed it, you didn't mention anything at all about correcting and eliminating the numbness, which I am now aware occurs when you put your body weight on the top of the crutch instead of allowing the body weight to be supported by the hands. Still, a good video but for the omission.
@AmericanPTstuttgart6 ай бұрын
Sorry for my late reply! Did your numbness get better? It often gets better within time since the “cause” of the problem is eliminated (meaning the pressure under the arm pit is no longer there)

Should I avoid or not avoid eating Broccoli? Because a fruit or vegetable has been changed into something by man kind should we still eat it for a better life health wise, not for taste. I saw one video and the speaker said zero broccoli should be eaten for his reasons Then I saw a contradiction video by someone else saying that broccoli is high in vitamin C B and A and provides good fibre to the diet and is tasty
@AmericanPTstuttgart8 ай бұрын
@DJBLESSD it def gets confusing. That is for sure. Basically, vegetables have things like “oxalates” that many people (and research) thinks are not good for you because they are made to protect the plant. Often they are referred to as “Plant Toxins” Traditional research (or main stream research) tells us they are good for us (just like seed oils or margarine). I choose to believe this research is bollocks. So obviously broccoli is better for someone than McDonald’s and or tons of other options. But the idea that we need broccoli in our diet due to its amazing amount of nutrients is also not accurate. I hope that explanation helped
@DJBLESSD8 ай бұрын
@@AmericanPTstuttgart hey thanks for trying to help somewhat. So Ill ask it again as I don't feel like you helped me out with the question raised of concern which goes should I avoid or not avoid eating Broccoli? Yes it might be better than eating other things maybe, like eating only ever apples all your life which isn't a junk food on the contrary of MC dons. What's the top best 3 green vegetables to eat aswell I wonder?? I've seen Kale , broccoli and sprouts are all Hybrids. What are the best 3 greens?? I guess celery, runner beans, avocado, cabbage, marrow, courgettes, cucumber,
@AmericanPTstuttgart8 ай бұрын
I actually don’t eat greens. I choose to eat fruits instead. Carnivore MD (Paul Saladino) on Instagram does a great job explaining why. When or if I were to eat vegetables than I would choose avocados, small sweet tomatoes, and sweet potatoes
