aren't you afraid your ciment blocks explode ?

Serious question, why the bottom horizontal block if it's on concrete. Could't you have the 2 horizontal blocks and use the bottom hole of the vertical block? Also other people knock 1 end out of another regular block with a hammer and voila! an open ended H block

If in a real emergence (and say you have no bricks, but got a small shovel) you can make something similar in the ground called (Dakota Fire Hole/Pit)!

I bought three Renogy 175 watt flexible panels for my 6x12 cargo trailer conversion.. They do work, but rarely (if not never) can I get the rating they boast.. but I don't blame the company, or the technology.. For those cells to reach their maximum potential, they all need direct sunlight at the optimal angle. Certainly putting a curve in your cells will reduce their efficiency. You just need to know what you're getting into, and keep your expectations realistic.

The only problem with it: It is NOT a rocket stove. It's a simple stove without air regulation and a much too short chimney. Both of it is ineffective unfortunately. Rocket stoves provide much more Energy and burn stronger. Still liked the video and the simple make of that stove😎

Instead of splitting it with brick in the middle why not put it at the back and have 2 burners?

Where can i find those tools. I haven't seen them at my local bog box store. I need that pallet. Can you give an Amazon link? I use lots of pallet wood on our homestead. Makes awesome chicken coops.😊

I'm about to start a similar project but mine is going to have three sections of about 50' each and two sets of stairs..I'm forgoing the chainsaw and instead using a reciprocating saw with 12" wood blades.

Good presentation. My one caution is that concrete can occasionally have air bubbles which can explode when heated enough. I had it happen one night when I worked security overnight in the Everglades. About a half hour after starting there was a big bang! Scared the snot out of me. 😂

Question: if i build an earth dome tiny "tornado shelter" in the yard ....add this tiny rocket stove INSIDE... with cob all around it... instead of the 50 gallon drum over the high side...is a big spaghetti pan flipped over for using the bottom as the heat plate...( and forcing the air back down simultaneously) then constructing another channel for that hot air to eventually exit the hut... through a chimney...do you see any issues i may encounter? Then i can use it for heating me and my dinner in colder temps. Cob doesn't burn. No worries about catching the structure on fire... But "draft" confuses me as well as the mathematics for rocket mass heaters that the experts use... Good plan? Bad plan? Suggestions? Thank you in advance!

Those cement blocks won't take much direct heat. The heat will make them expand and crack. That's why they are not used for chimneys.

no. just no brick in the middle. put it on the end away from the lower opening. now two grills. and as wood is burning just adjust the hot fire for two cook “zones”.

you can make a rocket stove with a spoon. dig a whole in the dirt from your yard, or any ground. dig a tunnel. stop lugging bricks. its called "dakota fire pit". or you can lug around bricks as a requirement. but i mean.. if you are in a survival situation, and you have a patio, and bricks... may as wel use the bricks : )
