Thanks for showing us the setbacks as well as the successes. Having lived in Tucson, I can say that the desert is truly a tough environment to live in.

It was a kick in the gut for sure to go out and see the damage, but I'm glad it only took 1 day to recover from it. It could have been a lot worse.

You should also have top plates that overlap and connect all end joints to the next section of wall, including all corners.

That would have been good. Fortunately, it's very secure now and we're close to being done with the roof. I'll be putting out a new video in a few days showing the roof going on.

At least you were able to save it. I've had two buildings completely destroyed by wind over the years and several others severely damaged, even our house. The wind has thrown debris through car windows, stripped paint off with sand (sand blasted everything). It's been horrible where we are, and it seems like it keeps getting worse. I'm currently working on growing some trees to try and reduce the force of the wind that keeps ripping everything that we build apart. I look forward to seeing the finished shed!

Sorry to hear about the troubles you've had. I think some trees for a wind break is a good idea. And we do feel fortunate that the damage wasn't any worse than it was.

@@FindingSelfReliance My own fault, I should have researched the area that we moved to a little better. Of course, that's a whole different story. LOL ;)
