Just to get the oil leak fixed on my I got the oil filter housing /oil pump /oil pan done. Not saying go spend your money but I got my pilot for $400 so it was worth it

Nice, drilled/slotted rotors! I’ve thought about doing that, but wondered if they really work better? Did you notice any difference? I do know that they cannot be turned, so if they ever groove or warp, even just slightly, they have to be replaced. I’ve heard drilled rotors can also be prone to cracking. Again, I haven’t run them so I don’t know from my own experience. I would run just about any other oil filter besides that orange FRAM. Have you ever seen one cut apart and compared to others? They aren’t the best made filters. Purolator and wix make good filters, Napa filters are really good too, and none of those cost much more than the fram , but you get a much better quality filter.

Good to know on the filters! Having fresh rotors has definitely helped! I have noticed that when the holes fill with dirt it is noticeable at slow speeds. I would stick with solid rotors for offroad use.

I went through a few FR axles on my 07 Pilot. The first new aftermarket axle failed pre lift kit. So, it's not the lift kit causing the problem. But they were highly rated aftermarket units, and both had failed in less than 8 months. I then got a genuine Honda axle 2 years ago now and it's still holding strong. The intermediate shaft is a bear to replace. They are known for the splines on the outer end to wear down over time. I also settled on a PowerStop Z23 brake pads and rotor kit when I installed the Honda axle. And they have been working amazing so far. They have vastly improved the trucks overall braking performance. Please let us know what you think of the Detroit Axle brake kit.

Replacing the rotors was a big improvement on our Pilot!

Second this. I have gone through so many NAPA and aftermarket axles with the lift and subframe drop. Most life came out of OEM axles. Recent replacement came from a hit to the CV boot that damaged it. Pulled one from the junkyard off an MDX that is the same PN and working well still. I also have the Z23 brakes but with Z36’s in the front. Night and day difference. I’d advise against drilled rotors, they’re all prone to cracking.

@@FeatherFoot_VRC That is awesome! I had to replace my head gaskets and fix the rear subframe mount, but other than that pretty small stuff.

@@GotterAdventure Last year had to replace the valve cover gasket because we had a big freeze back in December of 22 and when we started the car the cold didn’t agree with it. Now the starter seems to be going out.
