Hello. What type of swivels are you using on your 2nd stages?

I use 120° elbows... I used the 90° ones for a while, but the hoses were tooclose to my neck. I find my curren configuration more comfortable, and still streamlined.

Hitting the roof and long fins , is this why every publically known cenote has trashed and damaged stalactites and stalagmites. Now i know why people keep the good stuff secret .

You are arrogant, I won't answer your question!
@robertadamczewski3120
@robertadamczewski3120 29 күн бұрын
Maybe you're right, but I'm sure you're ignoramus. I list your bullshits: 1. One hand change regs and gas sharing is normal procedure in sidemount and its no matter if there is visibility or no. 2. Always, when you change regulator you check which one you actual use at first 3. If there is no vis you should feel you line but not jerk it. 4. if there is no vis... you don't see your buddy so you share gas along line to the hand of your buddy. As a cave diver you should know that all. So I propose change the title of movie for example ..."poor visibility" and next time be sure that anather cave divers see you and they will comment your activity. I hope it will improve your YT activity

so. think.. when somebody has OOG (out of gas) you will first make proper position in other to have thumb in exit direction? what about if exit is on your left ? you change a grip from below?...good idea ... it's zero vis so you dont need to see your computer. But the true is that in zero vis you don't have a perpendicular position to the line and you always know where exit is. So people ... think first

Actually yes. A well trained and practiced team will do what they have trained to do. As a well trained and practiced team, we also know a bit more about panic and what is possible in a short time and how to cope with those issues. #1, be prepared, trainined and practiced so those emergencies will not have an immediate emergency impact on the team. My team dives sidemount systems. For one of them to run out of air all at once on two completely independent systems means they did something beyond wrong.

This is a static demonstration without a teammate. in zero vis, we already hold the line. But there are situations where you can cause zero vis while trying to solve a problem such as a catastrophic gas loss that causes percolation... and if your team holds the line it helps to get out with less room for errors. Or... with visibility, I hold the line when offering you gas, so we already get ready to go out without confusion. Also, a diver out of gas might need assistance establishing neutral buoyancy, and holding the line helps maintain control (without pulling too hard). there are a million scenarios and in all of them holding the line towards the exit, while offering gas after you switch to your short hose has a lot of advantages and no downsides! Now, you must be proficient and fast in providing gas... that requires a lot of repetition! So... we do think... or we might die for some stupid shit that was totally avoidable!

If a LP inflator hose or HP hose break, I can remove them. In tight restrictions I had to push the tanks very hard and I also had big rocks falling on me... it's almost impossible to break a hose, but if it happens, I can fix it and still use the regulator.

£3 flush cutters, modelling stuff usually has them, if you are only cutting small and medium zippies, they are good enough. If you have expensive gear, why skim on protecting it? I have fancy Knipex ones cos of the amount of ties I use at work, I will never not need them😂. If they break, I'll buy more. If you have a friend that likes manicures, borrow their nail file, better than stabbing/burning yourself😅 Edit: even a cable tie gun will work but those are fiddly and often more expensive, could also put more stress on the gear

I always look like Mr. Olympia every time I try to open the DIN reg. Do you think it would be better if I put a bit of silicon grease on it?
@Ghost-Divers
@Ghost-Divers 2 ай бұрын
Absolutely not! All the dirt will stick to the silicon and it will damage the tread. You can try to hold the first stage and wiggle it a bit, while unscrewing the DIN inlet...
