Here in the U.S., there's a HUGE issue with foreign students willfully cheating on tests and punishing professors to punish those cheaters. The administration is happy to be taking in more and more money with those foreign students and reprimands the professors who are trying to run a legitimate class. When I say cheating, I mean taking photos of the test, sending them off to someone else and getting the answers back and all while the professor can only sit there and watch. This also means that a bunch of non-U.S. citizens who'd graduated from a U.S. university have a false diploma. Although the diploma is real on paper, that student has no idea what the hell they were taught (which is the entire point of a diploma or certification in the first place). Couple the high possibility that graduates had not learned (and this being known in the broader industry work-force), AND, at the other end that universities are just wanting more and more money to a point where the debt accrued does not justify the marginally high wages the person may or may not be earning afterwards, a lot of people are saying f-ck it and learning on their own. There's no degree involved, but people get vetted during the interview process anyhow. So the U.S. universities are doing themselves in. ...and that's even before talking about the WOKE make-your-own-degree level of useless insanity - but that's on another level all together.
