As long s they keep some open world solo stuff I'm fine. I don't expect to ever do a dungeon solo. I don't expect to solo boss mobs in open world. I do want to be able to solo some stuff in open world. I also want to be able to travel through areas (when appropriately geared). There are folks who hate crafting, others who hate building, etc. There will be folks who hate farming and animal husbandry but love their mounts. One thing people need to recognize is that you can be clanless but still not be playing solo. There are lots of friendly folks in the game who will chat, trade, hunt, help and dive into dungeons.

Yep sandbox mmos can't be beat or won. My first MMO was SWG at launch it was much more sandboxy than it became after the NGE update. Several folks after the first month were very unhappy because they couldn't figure out what the purpose of it all was. Sandboxes in real life are just a medium for kids to play. Pretty much it's the same thing in Pax Dei. Yes there are more toys in the Pax Dei sandbox but no one is telling you what or how to do anything. It also means that there is no right way and experimentation can have great rewards. All that said when are you going to talk about that build you're at in the video? I'm working on more building experiments and have no idea how to fit the humongous stuff.

Apologies, @imatworknow, it may be my editing. You are the first to make note of that. If you feel it may still be related to FPS, let me know. If you're hoping for iron for a flint and steel, a possible work-around would be using lava to set a piece of wood on fire. If you can get the face of the wood block to ignite in a way that the flame "block" is inside the portal, it will work the same as a flint and steel. Not really the way you're "supposed" to do it, but it is a possible pathway to the nether.

Perhaps you have explained this in your other minecraft series, so if you have, please just point me there. Why are you digging out so much material as you are building your base? Are you doing that because of where it spawned you at the very beginning?
@twooldguyz
@twooldguyz 23 күн бұрын
I've tried different approaches for choosing the general height of the base. The one I have found works best long-term, is to layout four fence posts 11 blocks from center, and choose the lowest for the height of the center section of the base. The other sections will be only one block higher or lower than that center section. I also like the challenge of just starting where the game first drops me, and making it work. So, in this case, we're having to level the area significantly. And, I'm actually like the way it is turning out. The extra dirt and cobblestone we're collecting will help with building the 3+ other sections which will be in the river, so we won't have as much left over as it may seem.
@FridayKnights.
