MINECRAFT 1.20.4: Like an Old Guy - base building (day 23)

We continue excavation of the 'Crop' section, picking up coal ore as we go. The body cam (recording equipment) seems to now be fully functional, which is a relief. After dumping our inventory into the 'feed' for the sorting/storage, we descend into the mineshaft.
Snacking on a baked potato as we descend, at the bottom we finish mining out the lowest level. We then mine out the next level up, which opens into a short tunnel containing a lava pool.

8:50 you talk about going further with the lava. I was thinking if you are not able to get a good source of lava in the nether you can use this little pool. If you have alot of things to smelt, lava burns in a furnace for a long time.
