Wouldnt a drill with a large hole punch be good for this? Would need to be a corded one however
@victorkelly734811 сағат бұрын
Depends on the style of bow and how you make it

Lmao "R" value. Not gonna make much difference as wood is shit and moss isn't know for R value either

But the handsaw cut FELT faster and complete! Right? If the noise wasn't so bad o chainsaws, I might use one. MIGHT.
@Youtuber442115 сағат бұрын
Safety hazard: you need to cut or remove the hood string on your sweatshirt. Not safe with a chainsaw

How can I take advice from someone that doesn’t use eye protection when using a chainsaw?
@jerrysides1248Күн бұрын
At Home Depot the twine they use for miscellaneous tying of customers purchases works perfectly for bow strings. It has almost no stretch, and It's free. I've used it on several of my less expensive builds, it works very well.

Good idea, I’ll try that next time.
@sammidwood404Күн бұрын
Saws still better. Dont need gas nor does it have tiny nuts or bolts to lose. Keeps ya fit too. the only valude reason to use a chainsaw is either not having the ability to work a crosscut or you get payed by the tree.
@MiaHill-k6vКүн бұрын
Please buy some eye protection, i know its not essential and you probably wont need them but the 1 in 1000 time that a spinter hits you in the eye and does damage will be the moment its too late

I would really like to win this bow like soon because I’ve really been looking for a good bow to buy and hunt with my budget is just low and I’m not good at building bows I’ve tried multiple times so it would really make me the happiest if I won!! I’m a big fan of yours

Unfortunate this bow has already been given away, but there will be another giveaway very soon. The bow is finished, I’m just wrapping up the video.

Great video! I made a hardware store crossbow out of oak 15 some years ago. It shot well until it didn't, although I did not understand how to read the grain of the wood very well. I think it's about time I tried again.

Instead of super glue you should of used gorilla glue clear polyurethane. Super glue contains no structure. Cool project!

Chase the ring, crucial with the tension the sapwood is under, otherwise back it with something. Nice work though.

Length of the bow: 66 inches Limb width: 2 inches Limb taper start point: start your side taper at 15 inches and taper into 1 inch tips Tip width: 1 inch The thickest part of each limb is 3/4 an inch close to the handle Handle: 6 inches long 1 1/2 inches wide and it's 1/12 inches thick. Your handle size is completely up to how it best fits you. It's probably 30-40 pound draw weight but it's hard to tell as I don't have a scale. Hope this made sense 😄

Here's what I saw hes bow hunting with a rifle on his back. That's exactly what an intelligent person does. He's not going to be what's for dinner. As far as poundage, Old Fred Bear 6 wheel compound bows are 30# as is and if you move the cable it can be many other poundage's. Technically they shoot like a long bow with out sights. In Ohio you don't want to be a chump cherry,.....you carry a second bigger gun for what's trying to eat you,... but I'd strongly recommend not having the balls to go hunting in the first place if you don't have a platoon with you. Bear's are not supposed to be here and cougars are not supposed to be here that's bad enough but there's shit out there that's not supposed to exist,... that's the scary part. If you hear wood knocking,.... stay in your house.

I was moose hunting. If you go to my shorts you can see the moose I killed with the rifle. I use the bow to shoot small game without spooking moose. A slingshot works great too.
