so surprise to see this genius don’t understand at the end. Everything is digital either a Siri voice or that Microsoft images, or Google algorithm. Yeah, maybe I did. Microsoft should have named it some Hi-Tech word to make people less scary. also, when you type the password, it doesn’t show the real text on the screen. so even in that case if you take the screenshot it just the ****** will be there on the screenshots.

The first thing I always do is disable these kind of 'helpful' tools. I just want a clean OS with no superfluous nonsense. I wouldn't dream of using Alexa, Siri and all the other dystopian tools.

Im a windows admin & I will for sure be stripping this out of our corporate installation as soon as it’s implemented by MS. Elon should have used this as an example of bad AI not Apple Intelligence.

How this MS Recall feature works is that they train their models on the edge. So yes absolutely your data is used to train MS models, but they train it locally and then send the training results = updated AI model back to MS.

i wouldn't doubt it if this was already inside windows pc's for agencies to spy on us but now they are making it public to see if we will socially accept it lol

This comment is to remind you guys that some people already broke this feature using Python, search the article talking about it by "Kevin Beaumont" called "Stealing everything you’ve ever typed or viewed on your own Windows PC is now possible with two lines of code - inside the Copilot+ Recall disaster".

Every company in the industry I work in relies on users (employees AND customers) accessing very private and valuable information that belongs to the business. We try to limit access to as much as possible for as short of time as possible, but it does occationally get stolen and sold, and it's expensive to resolve when it happens. You can't just buy Enterprise licences and turn it off in Group Policy, when you don't own the users device. I assume my industry is not the only one that doesn't want to hand over their information to Microsoft, or even the end user.

Another concerning environment for this to be in is healthcare. Windows is ubiquitous in hospitals, and screenshotting protected health information is worrisome to say the least.

Thanks for the video . but as tech youtubers you often review products and pass a judgement . in my own point of view your video comes to a conclusion that m.s is spying without actually having used the o.s or the feature . you instill fear based on personal thoughts or speculation which leads viewers either you are totally biased as shown that you are probably not windows users .anything needs a fair review before judgement can be made. I really think any one who watches this video is left with an wrong impression of feature none of you have used. Hate or love m.s at least test their feature before concluding them as spies

How about you link it to a password management and it will omit these entered passwords each time from the logs. I know a lot of people are using password managers nowadays and maybe this whole scenario could be encrypted?

3:12 - The problem -- Microsoft has PROVEN they can't be trusted with privacy. Look at how they've been handling Windows, the MS store and various other entities. Look at how they respect user privacy in windows -- they ROUTINELY change settings/revert opt-outs in windows updates -- randomly. Recall is WAYYYYYYY more invasive than siri or google assistant/bixby. The other AIs use APIs and CLEAR limitations and privacy.... Recall? It literally takes screenshots of EVERYTHING by default, and there's little control or verification of that.

Dude the thing that always kills me is your phone has more memory than a Mac... For sometimes less money. If you're buying the 1400 Mac laptop you are being overcharged and allowing it. Here's a tip for everyone if you stop being puppets and stop buying.. they will adjust the price. But peoples loyalty towards a company that quiet literally treats their customers like shit is so ridiculous. Honestly I wish more people would wake up.

Killing a device that is just a remote. Doesn’t even talk to a cloud/server is some really messed up leadership. Another group of software devs that tried to play hardware and ended up hurting their reputation by pulling the plug. Meanwhile they still can’t seem to figure out how to stream lossless audio. So while Spotify still likes sounding like Napster mp3s from the 90s. Many will continue on Amazon, Apple and TIDAL and others for actual sound quality. I really don’t get what is up with Spotify but it doesn’t look good. All that Joe Rogan money must have made it hard to hire an engineer to upload FLAC tracks to save them.
