Also Photomath (as a calc app) is really awesome I feel like. You scan the calculation, it gives you the answer, displays the steps to get there, displays a graph if needed etc. Super handy for students

My guest it’s something with 3d stuff. Note that the things that they release now are things that were in ideation stage while working hard on the Vision Pro. So that combined with that 3d effect of the ink in the logo, I say it’s some big merge of the pencil input with the 3d environment.

A good idea for the calculator app on ipad could be integrated within the keyboard, like the change language button they can add a calculator button for you to do calculations wherever you’re in, except when you hit enter it’s equal and does not send the query anywhere

Current iPad Pro Magic Keyboard does have usb-c but the thing takes forever to charge that way and as I remember it takes forever and is either charge only or the connector doesn’t support data transfer

The iPad problem isn’t about hardware… we barely use the power of the current M2. The problem comes from the software limitations. We need an UnifiedOS, some kind of new MacOS version that would have 2 different UI, so we could get the current iPadOS UI style when you’re using the iPad alone, and then as soon as you’re grabbing a precision pointer such the new Pencil, or a Mouse/Trackpad, then you would have the option to switch to a full MacOS UI style, running full MacOS Apps… it wouldn’t be two different OS running in parallel, but instead one MacOS that would have two UI mode, the current MacOS mode when you have precise pointers, and then a simplified UI that would look like the current iPadOS when you’re using your fingers… That would unlock the full potential of a M3/M4 iPad Pro… running full MacOS apps, and therefore driving the need for more powerful hardware in the future (M5, M6, M7…) and turning your iPad Pro into a real MacBook.

Apple need to make the headphones magsafe with an Apple logo outlined rather than filled in, for style. The ipads need the bezels to be screen so when you're watching content its a larger view.. but also when needed to be picked up for more work, the black bezel comes back and does not interact.

The only calculator I like is _Digits_ It creates an on-screen “tape” so you can double check your operations. You can copy, email, etc.

It would be awesome if they implemented more MacOS stuff but then the iPad would start to compete with potential macbook customers so I guess they wont do that from a business perspective. I think they most likely would lean more into the creative aspects of the iPad; apps for design, for animation, garageband updates, more creative note taking (for business meetings), dynamic island, apple vision implementation, better split screen implementation while using it together with a macbook. These are all speculations but stuff that would attract new customers or that make it feel like you need an iPad for people that are already in the eco-system
