Regarding the erratic arc start, as you (and others in the comments) have pointed out, make sure to use at least 1 sec of pre-flow and preferably even a little longer (I tend to run 1.3 sec). Plus, make sure your ground is very good (ground directly to the piece you’re welding or use your heat sink and make sure your piece has very good contact to the heat sink which is flat and has very good contact to the grounded table). And the third thing is this - when using the foot pedal, immediately go to at least 50% pedal before the arc starts so when the arc does start it’s a quick and direct burst of higher amps that tends to snap directly to your target rather than wandering around when you start too low and try to slowly feather the pedal during the arc start.

How's the pano v2 holding up? My only concern is the usb charging instead of battery power.

Hey EJ! I worked for Scotty around the same phase of my own career. I was one of his first employees at Chuckles Garage. He was a bit harder to work for back then, but I will say that he is one of the most genuine people you will ever meet, and if you work hard for him, he will have your back forever. I had seen you popping up on his social media a bit, but had no idea who you were. Enjoy California! It’s a special place. Man, I miss eating fish tacos staring at that ocean.

LOL...at around the 13:15 mark you didn't want to take your gloves off to handle the metal as it might have been too hot but then you touched it to your face to confirm.

You won't spill gas if you pull the fuel pump relay (green plug under the passenger footwell) and then try starting the engine a few times to use up the gas in the system. Also, don't forget to lubricate those rubber ends. You can just rub a little motor oil on them as lube, but for injectors it is worth it to make sure you don't have an issue. Great video! I have a 2002 that is a bit of a project car at this point and I needed to put in bigger injectors due to the bigger turbo I put in and this was a big help. I haven't done injectors on an EJ before, so this was really helpful

I have a PW225 like yours. A little arithmetic suggests the three division marks between 40Hz and 200Hz are 80Hz, 120Hz, 160Hz. Similar arithmetic suggests the divisions on the balance are 30%, 50% and 70%.
