Good to see you back John. Love the way you do your videos, the way youtube use to be, to the point with no fancy fluff crap! I always love watching and getting ideas for my 94, and have learned quite a bit from you. Thanks for your content. This kind of stuff will live on as long as the internet is here and help the kids down the road with learning. Between my Father and myself we have owned this truck 29 years, got the str8 6 and am having fuel issues with it burping out of the front tank that I need to get to. Anyway>Keep um coming, hope you are well.

Too bad you weren't in Michigan cause I got some of what you need. Including a near perfect bed with just a bit of rust over the drivers side wheel lip.

I don't think it is worth a new bed, fenders, and paint. You can sell it as is for $2500 and get a rust free western or southern truck for what you'd put into this truck. An example near me (Ohio) fireball motors gets western (California, colorado, ect) trucks. They have a 1992, 4.9L 5sp 4wd for $5,900. Rust free. Just needs clear coat.

That looks like a little gem. Nothing that a electrolyzer tub, a needle scaler, and a gallon of Ospho can't handle. I bought a 93 crew cab a few months ago and you can dangle your foot through the floorboard. I'll be right with you in spirit. I appreciate the content, it helps me alot with my Fords.

Being a farmer it would be kind of cool to design your own flat bed for it.

I like Jeff's idea. A flat bed is much more useful, much easier to work out of a flat bed. ...for that matter...much easier to sit in lawn chairs on a flat bed and watch the summer sun set.

$1200 for a rust free truck bed is a rounding error in the price of a new truck! 😂

If you can get a decent used bed for $1200, seems like it would be worth it. Better than 80 grand for a new truck. 🤯

Hey Boss! Happy New Year! Sounds corny… Hope all is well. The more you look at the truck you can see that the rust isn’t all that bad… considering the age of it. The frame rails, I would use Fluid Film or Crown. It actually stops the rust and it actually “creeps” after it’s sprayed on. Easy to use and fairly inexpensive. Comes in the “clear” or black which would look pretty good for the under carriage. Aftermarket parts usually come close for a good fit but not exact. But for the price…what the heck. This is a pretty good project for restoration. Keep you out of trouble. I see the smart ones are staying 8m side. (Leanna, Jess, Buddy and all the other critters) All but you…🙄 Well enjoy! Stay warm. Friggin freezing here. If you don’t hear from me again it means I received my new National Grid bill and I didn’t make it. Hello to Leanna👋👋 Stay safe and warm, Bill

I had two 07 Hondas start throwing the same evap code the same week. One of them was fixed by a new cap, the other needed a new purge solenoid. The solenoid is easy on a Honda but I think it’s a PITA on GM. Good news on the shoulder! Mine was torn, plus a spur, plus bicep tendons all beat up. It’s good now but it was pretty much useless most of the year.

The ol tahoe has thrown a code on and off for 10 years or so, take the gas cap off and put it back on, then after so many run cycles the CEL will go off.. but wasn't happening this time. Cleaned it up somewhat, disconnected the battery overnight and it's been off since. Sounds like your shoulder situation was worse than mine... but making this video only a week PostOp and then the next day doing a few other things seemed to piss my shoulder off a bit. At the time of writing this, it's the most pain I've been in the whole time after surgery. Doc did I'm pushing it to fast and to listen to my shoulder... if it hurts, don't do it or at least slow down. Argh... gets real boring real fast doing absolutely nothing. Felt like I could do a little something, but I guess the shoulder is telling me to take it easy a bit longer.... but at least I got the Tahoe fixed lol

Yeah it's better than i thought it would be this soon... week and a half, however, working on this and then the next day a little more stuff... set myself back and bit and hurting... yep, you can't try to hurry or push it that's for sure... like the doc said, listen to your shoulder... if it hurts, stop. Have to get back to normal slow and easy.

Hey Boss! Good to see the rebuilding of yourself went well. Good as new. Actuators can be a pita. Replaced a few over the years. The easy to get to ones never go bad, it’s always the hurried ones that fail. You got a little lucky. Amazing what a little rust can cause. Went through caps in my time and I always came back to Oem ones. I also read that a little grease along the rim or seal makes for an easy fix. Maybe a little dielectric grease….maybe. Hard to believe it’s about the end of the year. Hello to Leanna👋 Hope I got the name right this time. Stay safe everyone! Be good, Bill

😄 yep. You got her name right 👍!! Not back to good as new yet, but I'm working on it. Slow process for sure. A little grease, didn't think of that but that would work for a while I imagine. Just drove about 40 miles and no check engine light lol, so think it's fixed for now.

My 1993 ranger isnt engaging into 4wd either. I tested the harness from the module to the switch and had continuity through in the correct circuits. So I replaced the switch and still nothing? The truck has already been converted from auto to manual locking hubs. I'm thinking 4wd actuator? Any other suggestions?

Had my shoulder rebuilt last winter. Had to re attach the bicep and all most the tendons coming from my neck. Added half dozen anchor points to attached everything. Fixed bine spurs and repaired a giant hole and can't remember what else but there was more. I was immediately pain free after surgery. I wanted to shoot my bow at 2 months and they said noway. At 4 months I was good to go like it never happened. No more pain. I'm pretty happy.

I had rotator cuff surgery on 3/27/24 and am still in physical therapy. But I can honestly say I never had any pain from the process. First you won’t like the sling but then you’ll start taking comfort in it. It just takes patience. Good luck.

I know lots of people who have had shoulder surgery. As surgeries go, it's no big deal. Therapy afterwards is the important thing. Follow your surgeons recommendations
