Galarraga has a different kind of baseball immortality that no other perfect game pitcher, before or since, will ever have. And anytime anyone talks about the blown call, they usually always end up talking about how gracious Galarraga was afterwards, which makes it a good kind of baseball immortality. Not a bad way to be remembered, I think.

This wasn't the worse blown call and had no effect on the season as a whole. Don Deckinger's blown call at first was far worse and at a worse time.

Well done. This video deserves one million hits. Tony Gwynn was the best hitter that I ever saw, and really just the sweetest person ever...he really meant a lot to San Diego.

#19, TG. Rest in Peace to the finest hitter of the modern era. I grew up in San Diego and used to watch Tony play from the five dollar seats at Jack Murphy. He was an amazing man, and an amazing ball player. Legends never die.

The last reporter who asked him about steroid use is ridiculous. a joke. a fool. sosa was not expecting that question because Sosa thought you were a thinking reporter. obviously. he was incorrect.

Both cheaters and should never be considered for the hall of fame, they should face the consequences of their actions, they knew what they were doing and that it was wrong, once a cheater always a cheater..

All the hate is unwarranted with this era, McGwire, Sosa. Everybody still cheats, it's just way more complex, and not as harmful to your body. Look at the NFL, UFC etc. Those aren't natural physiques regardless of workouts and diet.

He's the GOAT, absolutely no doubt about that. According to me, he should have won at least 10 Cy Young. And, 5700+ SO is still a thousand more than the 2nd. Whoever didn't vote for him when he deserved it, are just morons...

Sosa improved due to ROIDS. Roids = HR's = Walks = Batting Avg. Sosa hit 300, 3 times in his MLB career, all during his ROID use. This is also true for many of the other ROID users. Sosa's lifetime BA is 252. McGuire is a lifetime 263 hitter.
