Very useful video. I can safely assume Schaeffer 219 or 221 would be fine for greasing oat lift motor in salty environment. Is 274 overkill? Also, would you have a recommendation for Schaeffer as marine grease for outboard engine? thanks a gain

All it takes is one bad manager to ruin a place. I worked for UR for a couple years. They ran off our branch manager and installed a meat head from another store in his place. Our store went from number one in the district to nearly the bottom. Meat heads old store went from nearly the bottom to one of the higher ones in the district. I didn’t think that’s hard to figure out where the problem was, but evidently upper management doesn’t have a clue or care why good people bail.

@Mitalayeka A 259 is a less popular skid compared to the most common 289. We have like five 289s for every 259 that we have. They get rented out a lot. During the busy season we will litterally have people waiting for us to tell them if they can go right back out or not. Very popular and versatile machines. We only have a few 299s and those are speciality units for large attachments. My next video is about a Mulcher unit. I spent a month repairing the 299 and the mulcher and about 30k of parts.

Wow! As someone considering going to diesel tech school, I really appreciate your video. Right after college i began working in the west texas oil field, at an oil field waste disposal facility specifically. We had excavators and forklifts out there, and part of my job duties was to perform regular maintenance on them. I loved that part of my job, although i didn't know it then. At the same time, i also worked a lot with centrifugal and injection pumps. Most of my working work hours were spent mechanic-ing. I quit that job due to my personal life. I was working over 84 hours a week, usually 2 to 3 weeks in a row. I also have my CDL, although I don't like driving anymore, and I'm a proficient heavy equipment operator. For the last three months, after quitting a job at a company, i absolutely disliked, I've been lost as a for what to do next. I miss the old days when i used to work repairing heavy equipment, and i have come to realize that that is something I love doing. Now I want to go to school to learn Diesel mechanics properly and do that for a living, hoping to eventually have my own heavy equipment repair business. Again, thank you for making this video. 💪

If the manufacturer gcwr of my setup is 41600. And I get a trailer with a 36000 gvwr and my truck gvwr is 14000 making my gcwr 50000 is that illegal even if I never make the gross vehicle weight over 41000 pounds? Assuming pin weight and all axle weights are in spec

@limblessmime5689 As long as you're don't exceed the rated GCWR with actual weight, you're fine. It's not like the CDL rule where you're GCWR past 26k makes it automatic. Most places won't sticker a trailer over 30k gvwr even with three 12k axles.

@limblessmime5689 Personally, I wouldn't run more than two 12k trailer axles. Three axles are great for the straights but turns will tear your tires & axles up. You could go with two 15k axles but they ride rough as all hell. You would have to invest in the shocker hitch for sure. I would recommend running a 5th wheel & kingpin setup. Way smoother and more stable. Add some airbags on the truck too. Your body will thank you and you can inflate them to keep you level if your overloaded to make it seem like all is normal to DOT to the eye

They're only dangerous if they're all rusted out & corroded. If they explode while air is applied obviously it will be disastrous because the air holds the spring back. The days of breaking them apart to replace internal components is long over. Just replace the whole component and you won't have to worry. Just always be cognizant of where you are in relation to it. Treat it like a loaded gun don't be in front of it. When you're caging it if that ever happens just keep your body to the side.

UR1 ❤ I have learned a cool trick on killing grease worms , I pulled the grease fitting out stick an air nozzle in and blow what I can then shoot some shoot some brake clean in , hit it with the air again, then get some penetrating oil fill up the cavity the best you can reattach the grease fitting pump the grease back to it. And the grease and the penetrating oil slowly worked their way in as you operate the unit. About 90% of the time.

@willmill409 Yeah, that's false 100%. They probably say stake pockets are okay, but rub rail is no go, don't they? Meanwhile, the rub rail is litterally thicker steel with more welds. The tiedowns will break before the welds or rub rail do. Welds and rub rail are waaaayyyyy stronger than tiedowns. Just try to keep your hooks and chains routed through the inside of the rub rail. Keep your binder handles inside the rub rail. They will get you for that and loose tiedowns. Everything else they dont care about. They want that shit secure.

@TylerTheFieldServiceTech

@ManiRashid-vo5ck You will build a relationship with brokers just by working with them. Some of them will call you for additional loads. Most of them you will never speak to again. Brokers don't dictate the authority requirements it's dictated by the brokerage they work for. They will get your info when you book you a load. When it's your first load with a brokerage, you have to send a carrier packet that has a certificate of insurance in the brokerage's name & a few other documents. You will struggle with authority until you get past your first year. The market was so flooded years back with new hotshots & truckers that the big legit brokerages refused to work with new people. It's gonna be an uphill battle the entire time, man. Brokers will take advantage of you because they know you're new. They will give you shit rates & refuse to negotiate. You really have to earn your place in this cutthroat industry. It's tough, man. not gonna sugar coat it you're in for a battle.
