My club, Peveril Rifle Club, Isle of Man, shoots at 25m and 50m only. I have the Rossi 92 same as yours only the blued version. I'm really considering changing to the Marbles tang sight as my ageing eyes don't let me shoot too well with the semi-buckhorn sights that it came fitted with. But I[m a little confused as to what to order. Can you possible list the items ( parts numbers ) you mounted to your rifle. Your three videos are excellent. Clear, concise, and extremely explanatory. Well done. Wish there were more like it. Many thanks for your efforts.

One of the absolute best demonstrations I’ve ever seen in a KZbin video. Clear and concise straight to the point.

Just so you know, That "claw" on the left cartridge guide is in fact the magazine cartridge stop, and if it and the spring aren't inserted correctly, it will turn your life into a living hell with feeding and loading issues by allowing cartridges to pop out of the magazine and jam the loading gate and wedging the front of the gate out of the receiver etc, etc etc.... ask me how I know. Thank you for showing how it fits correctly. The spring tension on this stop is critical. Also the loading gate screw needs to be TIGHT! Don't mar the receiver by jumping out of the screw slot and skidding the screwdriver across it. These are just not fun to work on... everything fits too tightly and screw alignment is a pain to get right. I spent 3 hrs trying to get the extractor spring back on as some others showed. It was easy once I realized that you just put the damn thing back together and let the dummy cartridge hold it in alignment in the chamber and then insert the knurled head bolt pin thru the receiver to hold it in place. Don't hammer on it, just move it around until it starts and then drive it in without letting the cartridge come back out of the chamber.( Pour a stiff drink here) You WILL NOT be able to slip the extractor spring past the firing pin shelf as shown. forget it. John M Browning probably became a raging Mormon alcoholic designing this gun....

I have a blued, 24" octagonal barreled .357 Mag R92 with the same tang sight. Love it. Mine has the stock front bead which I've found wholly adequate. Of course, mine has a longer sight radius... I have a vid on my channel showing mine. Thanks for the review. I like that globe sight... that would be great for target shooting.

I changed my Stainless 92 lever to a large loop. It didn't go anything like this take down did. Getting the bolt back in was a sob!!! Did everything right and it still constantly hung up and would not go in. Finally after about an hour it popped in,still do not know why! Also the ejector set up is a total rube goldberg design with that little collar that you have to push behind the small supporting strut, while you are holding onto the bolt with a dummy round? Really? WOuld be better if you had three hands!🤔. OMG, what a nightmare. Unless there is some compelling reason to break this down again. I won't be doing it any time soon!!🤪 However, the video was the only thing that saved me!! Well done and thank you!

Just starting out so I bought the 50th anniversary kit. This scale really scared the crap out of me. So, I bought a used scale off eBay. I did learn how to set it up correctly with the lines on both sides and I have to say this. This scale is right on the money. I zip tied it down, so it won't move. It is so light. Not as easy to use as the balance but like I said it is balls on. Wish the powder pan was deeper and 2 piece so you can remove just the pan. If this is all you got learn how to set it up correctly and run with it.

Best video there is with great detail that helped me alot, but I think your should have made the order of disassembly the same as reassembly, that is : capture mainspring remove: lower tang trigger assembly then grub screw and pin lever and locking bolts When starting as you do, capturing main spring and then moving on to removing grub screw and pin, lever and locking bolts, the lever and locking bolts are stuck in my gun.... Sure has to do with tolerances in each gun, but be advised, some just might get into trouble here.

Great videos! Thank you so much for sharing all this information. My lever started locking in the closed position, but seems different than the pin and cover screw issue. Mine will lock up only when off safe. When on safe or half cock, it does not lock up. Have you experienced anything like this? ***Update: deburred and honed the bolt, lightened the hammer & trigger springs, then applied Frog Lube to heated up parts... working like a champ!

Thank you sir! Your thorough and comprehensive demonstration was a life saver to me after I disassembled my Rossi and was flummoxed on getting it back together! I especially appreciated your tips on making sure bolt pin was flush and set screw not too tight. It took me 8 hours, and some cramped fingers, but with your help was able to clean and reassemble. Hopefully next time will be easier.

Wonderful instructional piece; thank you sir. I am about a month away from my first lever action rifle since 1984, and I have chosen the M92 big loop blued in 45LC. I have heard about issued with loose screws which can be easily remedied with a little blue loctite. As a hobbist gunsmith I enjoy the self-tuning of the internal parts via buffing. I can't wait to get my hands on her as I've always admired John Wayne's Trapper carbine.

For the idiots like me: If you release the hammer spring and struggle getting it tightened put the wire through the hole and between the spring then twist it till the spring is repositioned.

If you cut a short section of Q-tip, it is the perfect diameter for a “slave pin” to re-assemble the trigger. 👍
