Heroin, & the nature of addiction are what ruined the band. The guys didn’t accept Courtney, & that infuriated Kurt. She was keeping him isolated, & sick (as she too was sick). Active addiction dictates that your drug use becomes your top priority, & anyone who’s judgmental, or anything that gets in the way, has to go. Opioids in particular also make you extremely irritable, with no inhibition to hold you back.

They're all right. Chris' "gayest" cape was part of that gorgeous white outfit for the '76 Summer tour. The short tour when they even included songs from their solo albums. Steve did indeed have a shorter cape on that '76 sojourn but it WAS a cape.

could listen to him talk forever. what a great musician, singer. but hey Noel was a guitarist and got picked to be in the band because of his hair. Jimi and Mitch were visionary, but without Noel's solid, simple bass lines would the others have stood out as much. on the live stuff they're going crazy and Noel never lost his place. the Jimi Hendrix Experience were a great band. and so are Yes.

I have heard this kinda testimony from some of the musicians Chris mentioned but if you ever had a chance to hear Jimi play you know why so many were talking about this young, humble, black guitar player from Seattle cause he was blowing everyone's mind when Jimi played. I meet Jimi after his concert at the elevator in the Sheraton Grand and he spoke with me for a bit and then went up to his room, nicest guy you would ever want to meet. Then got to see him perform at the 2nd Atlanta International Ppop Festival in Byron Ga. On July 4th 1970 doing his songs to the fireworks going off in the background. Wow what an amazing show!

He always says that Kurt, "shouldn't have done that" but he never specifies what it is that he's saying Kurt shouldn't have done. Just an observation I've noticed from all his comments about Kurt's death. It's always worded that way.

As a former concert bouncer who worked the pit in front of the stage at many Yes concerts, I'd say of ALL the famous rock stars and other entertainers I worked events with over the years? Yes bass player Chris Squire was BY FAR, THE NICEST GUY YOU EVER MET!!! I have many stories but all I'll say is Chris Squire was ALWAYS the last to leave Meet&Greets with fans after shows and NO ONE EVER walked away without a big smile on their face. Let it be known! Rest in peace, Guv'. 😎

"He shouldnt have done that." "Kris(t), A long time ago it all mattered and now it doesn't. You did a lot for me, sometimes and mostly you've done less than nothing. As for now NIRVANA is an embarassment, my soul can't take it. My body can't. I am going to start another band. Actually, Im going to keep NIRVANA and have others in it. I tried to tell you this twice now but youre too drunk f'd up judgemental and in denial to even hear. So I'll be blunt. It's over. You'll always be rich and you deserve it for the time you've spent. But that's as far as it goes. For years I had to shut up and listen to your opinions about my songs my ideas my band. I wasnt put here to please you or Buzz or f'n Calvon Johnson! I've learned to hate the idea of this band with you and dave. Obviously, you guys will call lawyers, with his greed but it's over. I have told our lawyers and managers. IT'S MY BAND and as hard as this is to do I have to do it." (By Kurt) "He shouldnt have done that." "The way he chose to... die..."

Wipers are one of the most incredible bands of the 80's that should have had way more attention. Greg Sage as a frontman and unbelievable guitarist blew my mind when i first heard there music. The influence that band have had is so important to the great bands that probably started and wanted to be in a band to because of them. So little about them on KZbin apart from one or two interviews with Greg and some live performances that are unbelievable.

What was called the “Seattle” scene was really a group of smaller sub-scenes across the region that weren't necessarily related. Nirvana wasn’t really a “Seattle” band. They formed in Aberdeen, as most people know, but when they decided to move west, they went to Olympia, not Seattle. In fact, Kurt Cobain lived in Los Angeles before he ever had a Seattle address. But it was always easier to bundle everyone up as part of the “Seattle” scene.

Just think of you and your best friend(s) at 27 then you suddenly lose one of them like this. I know this will have happened to others over the ages, but that's what you see in Krist - he lost his best friend just like that. All those shared experiences. It's affected him so much. Dave was just a colleague to the guys in a way.

Krist was such a joyful and fun guy while Kurt was alive. It’s really sad the effect Kurt’s death had on him, but really shows how much he loved him. He was his brother. I think he maybe knew Kurt better than anyone in the world, even Kurt’s mom or wife. I really feel for Krist, he’s such a genuine and nice dude.
