That coyote chassis is a beast. I finished mine up about a month ago and it’s awesome. I went with a hardbody cab only build , 2low, 2100kv YJ, Silent Assassin esc, with 10.3 portals on the silver surf color chassis. This chassis is a definite game changer and I have tried several centered skid chassis. I put this up against my brazin ATL pro v2 and it wasn’t even close.

@@Loomis_Fishin dude that’s awesome. Yeah I’ve got plans for this, already in the process of swapping axles :)
@Loomis_Fishin19 күн бұрын
@@HobbyDrop I look forward to seeing how this turns out. At first i looked at this chassis just because it had a cool design for a cab only build then I started really dissecting it and the 10* skid ,multiple shock placements and upper link adjustments and seen the potential. Once I received the chassis i compared it to the gspeed v3 and the brazin ATL. The skid of course was angled considerably more but the belly clearance was better than the v3 and about the same on the ATL only better breakover then both. Then i looked at shock placement on all 3, the v3 was extremely limited and the v4 was no different, the ATL was good but you could only move them front to back so again it was limited. So before ever running it was already superior in my book. I think my next build will be a VRD swap coyote on straight axle’s.

@@Loomis_Fishin thank you for the feedback, I designed it to be as capable as possible for a center skid chassis but you telling me it handles better than a forward skid chassis is news to my ears. I got one of these a while ago and didn’t wanna spend money on it. But stock form just doing that rear shock position mod and leaving the fronts where they are in stock form works best. I also do a spring mod all around the vehicle where I roll the spring over the bottom shock collar about 2 full coils just to lower the overall ride height and it makes a world of a difference for lower center of gravity for that extra performance 👍🏻 Then next best thing is to just spend that weekend food money on buying some weighted brass wheels and diff covers and better tires for sure. And oil filled shocks 39mm is a perfect sweet spot for the scx24’s. Cheers my dudes 🍻

You need to study physics. In order to do what it claims you have to have huge wheel speed there is no way around it. A sway bar will keep the rear end from shifting which is what's causing the front wheel to lift. If you think I'm wrong I can direct you to several suspension design books

Great comparisson! I am amazed at how many don't know what a trail buggy is. I have seen the Optic called modded and reviewed like it is a comp rig, a bouncer, an ultra four. The two buggies are modeled to resemble the front motor rock buggies that are mainstream in the west ( Hulse, Sasquatch, Red Dots) It is a great RTR and a great base for any of those type builds which is the great part about it, versatility in a cage based rig.
