Cool video, got the wife a 2 pc body Acent and myself a Fusion a couple of weeks ago and have been trying to figure out why I hadn't got into this something like this before instead of changing up my trail trucks to crawl... I've been having a blast watching these two walking over what would stop my other trucks and shrugs it off like it's nothing ...1st time here I'll be back to see what else you got... good footage...

That’s awesome that you’re designing your prints now. The scx24 link riser was my first product. Print strength for 1/10 is a challenge. Solid doesn’t necessarily mean stronger, but it looked like it broke in a thin area. Higher temps make parts stronger, especially at the layer lines, even if the part comes out looking weird from the high temp.

I guess that makes sense. Cause then it’s melted together more.

3D printing has changed the way we make many things, but it is very difficult to engineer a part for suspension that won't break due to the forces we tend to put on these things. I personally can't even run stock plastic axles and have to upgrade to Treal, Vitivon, or Vanquish aluminum housings and other bits on every vehicle I build. I'm just too hard on my parts, I guess. Thank you for working on this, but it might take some time to find a shape and material type to survive.

@HobbyDrop2 ай бұрын
@@clasherroyale4957 so the link riser raises up the rear upper links on the axle to help keep the nose down while climbing. So, yes it would still work with the SOA.

I bought quite a few DL shocks for my Redcat ascent but im wondering what combo to run. I have SOA and 4 link conversion on it so it will generate much more flex with longer shocks, but I also want to maximize it as a performance rock crawler ( don't want it to look like a trx4 high trail). I also prefer no spring under the piston, and use the weight of my crawler for droop (so it maximizes flex). Should i go: 1)100mm front and rear 2)90mm front, 100mm rear 3)100mm front, 110mm rear 4)90mm front, 110mm rear Please help me out, thank you so much

@@clasherroyale4957 nice, Soa is the way to go. If you’re wanting a performance rig I like to have about a tire height of travel front and rear. I have found that is a good mix. My go to shock set up is traxxas 2260s

You need to study physics. In order to do what it claims you have to have huge wheel speed there is no way around it. A sway bar will keep the rear end from shifting which is what's causing the front wheel to lift. If you think I'm wrong I can direct you to several suspension design books
