@jessebunker6062Ай бұрын
The MGW shifter is really not all of that. To start with, it is not a complete assembly. You have to use part of you original shifter to make this a complete assembly. It is hard to shift, for a street car shifter. The rubber dust boot is poorly made. And it is just to much money for what it is. A Tick shifter or even a C6 shifter works just as well for a lot less money.
@DAPerformАй бұрын
@@jessebunker6062 tick did not have any options when this was purchased, the oem shifter is sloppy, it is slightly more difficult to shift with the ball shifter but that’s about the only complaint I had

I've watched this video and the one prior. You've sold me on this kit. This was a great explanation on how to do this yourself. Thank you for that! The only question I have is do you run a key? How would that and the neutral safety switch tie into all this?
@DAPerform2 ай бұрын
@@tbeach7112 the neutral safety switch is wired into the board all it takes is to cut the crossover wire in the Board and wire the more switch in the shifter. For a key I’m sure you could just wire it inline with the ignition switch or the starter switch

That's a nice little project. When I did my 2018 Silverado. I did a mild cam, DOD delete, changed the lifters, pushrods, and added a Katech Hi-po oil pump. The L83, and l86 are aluminum everything It's great to save weight but not so much for heavy duty driving in the heat, they use oil to cool the bottom of the poaton and sleeves, they eat oil. I switched to a 5w-30 mix and with the heat and my heavy foot, here In Miami, she seems to be happy. But those trucks build with the bailout money have a bunch of faulty parts. I replaced.y AC condenser and did a heavyduty/hi-perf trans rebuild. With a full Sonnax rebuild kit. She is build to hold 1000hp. I'll never push that motor to that. But eventually I'll do a few more upgrades and slap a small snail in there. Have a good one brother. Enjoy 🤙🏾🙏🏾

I had a 5.7 with Hemi tick at 180,000 miles. Swapped it out (many of the exhaust-manifold bolts were broken), and changed exhaust to shorty headers. Required a slight extender to fit to one side of exhaust pipe, but sounds awesome, and new engine gets 16 MPG instead of 13.
@BenotzJoe4 ай бұрын
Very clean job overall. I like that IWSS kit. Thanks for sharing that. Generally, electrical power inputs are called supplies; outputs are called loads. It’s not clear what the ammeter might be used for. Manufacturers give you the load rating of their components. You size the wiring to the load and the fuse to the wiring. Not sure how you would might use the ammeter. You should avoid making sizing decisions based on measured current. On your electric water pump, you can’t split the positive wire into two wires and leave the ground wire as a single wire. Your single ground connector rated for 13 amps will be carrying 20 amps. Keep your fire extinguisher handy. Also, it’s not a good general practice to split a load into two connectors because if one of the contacts becomes compromised, you will overload the other wire.
