Absolutely! This was my first time writing a car as well. Just ate your time and buy quality connectors and splices

I added the starter wire to the kill switch as well, because if you work under the car you have a live wire there that can get grounded with misplacing a wrench or something. And as well in case of a accident you dont have that wire live when kill switch is off. But very well done and , wiring is definitely a hassle and fun at the same time
@DAPerform Жыл бұрын
The starter wire is only live when the kill switch is on

Looks good . I know you had this car going for a while but ive seen in the past where using welding cable heats up on a long run to the trunk. I'd want to use battery cable. Maybe because its thicker strands . Not really sure.
@DAPerform9 ай бұрын
I haven’t seen any issue finding welding cables. It’s the same principal the strand count helps carry the load more efficiently and effectively compared to to less strands

You used #2 gauge and not 2/0 for your power and grounds off the battery?
@DAPerform Жыл бұрын
That’s right 2 AWG wire. 2/0 wire would be total overkill for the setup

Great looking harness and excellent video. I appreciate it! Stupid question though, if the kill switch is thrown in an emergency, won't the alternator still supply power to the panel/ignition, keeping the car running?
@DAPerform2 жыл бұрын
Great question but no. The alternator runs straight to the battery which then goes to the kill switch and then to the Mai power for the starter and relay board so when the kill switch is thrown it kills power to everything forward. No ignition no fuel no ecu no nothing. I haven’t tested it but this is how it should work
@powers69632 жыл бұрын
@@DAPerform That makes sense. Thanks man. I was thinking you were tapping into the line from the alternator to the battery. Thank you for the clarification! I'm a little slow. lol

Whats your opinion on the k&r wiring kit and the racewire solutions wiring kit , vs this one , trying to decide who to go with , any feedback would be much appreciated , thank you
@DAPerform Жыл бұрын
The leash board is so user friendly and everything is labeled and easily identifiable with each fuse and relay. It is a little larger than other boards but it also includes all the provisions for lights and multiple 12v and ignition leads. In my opinion the precision wiring and fabrication kit is the go to kit. I wouldn’t use any other relay board or wiring kit

How do you connect both 2 gauge to the positive and negative terminals on the battery?
@DAPerform2 жыл бұрын
I used 4 gauge wire and I used a standard Marine terminal that has two posts on the mounting side for the cable
@pbclax1 Жыл бұрын
On your street strip board, did you order it with any ground (negative) trigger relays?
@DAPerform Жыл бұрын
Only positive triggers. I wanted to keep the simplicity and kept everything the same relay trigger wise
@pbclax1 Жыл бұрын
Awesome thanks as always man!
@steventerry9462 Жыл бұрын
You will need to order the negative triggers only if your triggering the relays via a ecu with negative outputs only. Typically a terminator x ecu would have negative outputs a d you could require negative trigger relays. If your turning the relays on via a switch panel. Not the ecu then 12volt relays is all you need
@pbclax1 Жыл бұрын
@@steventerry9462 thanks! Sounds like the all 12 volt is what I’ll need too then ordering your full setup like in the video
