Hacking is such an over-rated feature, and there are many watches way above this Panerai price-point that don’t have hacking, including some Vacherons and Pateks. There are technical reasons why hacking isn’t always the best for the wear and tear on certain movements, but also, even the best mechanical movements in the world can lose a second or two a day, and so your hack is lost very quickly anyway.

I would like to see the lume shot for this watch. In short, it is a very attractive rugged watch that is extremely noticeable. There is nothing that looks like a pan except for a pan. However for this price point. There should definitely be Hacking and COSC certified.

Bought one and love it classic style and I wasn’t prepared to pay £13500 for a Rolex 16750 which in all fairness is a £2070 watch at the time of release.

Great to find a video about the Reverso Squadra. A very underappreciated watch line in my opinion. I bought my Reverso Squadra Hometime as a christmas gift to myself in 2009 and to this day it gets the most compliments out of all my watches. It's good enough for Pierce Brosnan and Luca Toni, so it is of course good enough for me. 😉

Very good review, you deserve lots more subcribers! i bought this watch yesterday, it’s my first microbrand watch, i’m vintage collector, it looks like a NOS diver, it’s a beauty, very solid watch in all the way, i have it on bracelet, i don’t know the bracelet receive so much ‘hate’ from many, it’s a good bracelet, beautiful and looks very good on this watch, i like the rubber one too, beautiful and softy i didnt try yet, i think would be very comfortable but i saw in pictures on hand didnt look as good as the bracelet, it’s almost invisible when you look at the watch.

I have a 71/4 “ wrist and I grew up wearing seiko divers, and this watch is still one of my favorites although the service is dismal,I would not exchange mine for the new model because of the gold on the bezel and it’s smaller size,I plan on keeping mine forever and the san martins that mimic it will stay in my collection as well .This watch and the submariner are all I need to be happy, although I’m not sure if I can pass on the titanium christopher ward or the omega aqua terra or whatever the new vintage one is called

Great review, especially as I’m missing a GMT from my (small) collection. So would a 2022 model for a shade over £2000 be a good used buy? Genuine question, and I know the seller personally.

I dont understand the purpose of having the graduations for thr first 15 minutes if youre going to put a giant 10 emblem in the middle, makes the graduations after the 8th one near useless. Either keep the graduations to the first 5 minutes or get rid of the giant 10 on the bezel.

Funny thing is everyone complaining about the thickness and wanted 58 GMT. And now the 58 GMT is out and complained about gilt color. That is why watches is so individualized. To each its own

Love my sea dweller, but the best in the business is the 50 fathoms. That bezel was the first and is still the best in the industry at any price. But I love my Rolex and wear it daily.

Why everyone so woried about scratches!? It is a watch, not a expensive painting or one of a kind art piece. Every watch acratches, if scratches vory you, buy g shock and not metal watch.

I have this watch with the olive-gray leather strap. It fits very well & smaller than its specs, once the strap breaks-in after about 2 months of daily wear. That alligator strap ruins the whole aesthetic of this timepiece & shouldn’t be anywhere near this masterpiece, unless the owner is 80+ years old.

Former Rolex Sea Dweller & Submariner owner here. Great watch but always lost time. It bounced between -2 and -7 seconds per day. Sold them both, pocketed $10,000, and bought a Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean and never looked back. Gains between +2.3 and +2.8 per day for the last three years. Hands down a better watch than both. (My Sea Dweller was the older model I will note).

I'm 5'5" and this watch is NOT too big. My wrist is 7.5 in. Is it chunky? Yes....but all tough, durable watches are a bit chunky. I WANT a watch that is a little heavier and thicker than a dress watch. All I can tell folks is that if you want a small thin watch that's not heavy......BUY a Flippin DRESS WATCH. I wear this all the time and I love it! So well made and accurate and its made to last. The size complaints are silly. Buy a dang ladies datejust if you need such a small steel watch.
