I served with 4/325 ABCT Vicenza in the late 80's. Unique situation as we were attached to 10th grp and other partner special operations forces...we modeled all of our training, weapons and tactics around the 75th RR...how can you tell? 12mile runs weekly, 12 mile road march weekly, constantly on range shooting, a slow day was a 5 miler and yes starched pressed Jungle fatigues with Jungle boots year round. If you know you know....😆

This is great, brings me back. I did time in weapons before becoming an ANGLICO towards the end of my career. One time when we got jumped on patrol, i happened to see that if I dropped right then and there I'd have enfilade so i did. i got maybe a burst or two off before my arms started burning like nothing I've ever felt before...i dropped down onto this 64y bees nest or something and they stung the fuck out of me. Good times.

Greetings Zeoma,.. I have served in Soviet Army myself.. as an Border Guard in Ussuri Far East region. Border of China and Russia. 2 things here.. No disrespect Bratishka.. But Chechnya did not happen until 90's so ur dad could not be there if u guys came to America in 80's. another thing is .. If U ever go to visit Russia never wear shorts.. The stars you have on ur knees will get u in trouble with law enforcement and with criminal world as well. Cause only way u can get a tattoo like that is if u are granted a high title in criminal world "Vor v Zakone". So if they figure out you got the stars without official coronation they may not take it lightly. Be well.. Udachi tebe Brat! Keep the Russian pride High🤝
@antonsakharoff91147 күн бұрын
O, so u know the meaning of the stars on the knees.. Ok.. I wrote the remark before u guys got to the tattoo part. As long as U are aware.. Cause lots of kids that grow up in America, even though they're Russian, they wont be aware of lots of things.. specially if that has to do with criminal culture in Russia. Cheers again Bratishka!

I did systema for 15 years. What you are talking about has everything to do with this. I was about training in movement and timing almost ballet. People think systema is challenging martial arts it doesnt have to do with that.

i think he's confused on who the good guys and bad guys were during the soviet occupation of Afghanistan... and no disrespect, but for how solid his dad seems and how protective he was, like how a lot of men/fathers were back then, it's hard to believe his dad would divulge his missions involving murder and torture

@17nhvrailroader20 күн бұрын
Hi, civilian here. Since the Army is replacing the M249 with a medium machine gun caliber, do you think this will negatively affect individual fire teams' ability to suppress the enemy? The XM250 might weigh 3-4 lbs pounds less, but the gunner carries 200 less rounds, and the reload belts are 100 rds vs the M249's 200 rds (according to Wikipedia). Also, the recoil will probably be worse, and the XM250 doesn't have a quick chamge barrel. I feel like we're repeating Vietnam, where all they had were M60's. I thought that was the whole point in creating a squad automatic weapon. And as for the Marines, what's your thoughts on them replacing the M249 with the M27 IAR? Will having only 30 rounds be a problem? If they start issuing reliable drum mags like the Magpul D60, will they be enough to compensate for the loss of sustained fire? Thoughts?

He is absolutely correct!!!!....It is nice to see that what he is saying is no different that it was for us in the 90's.

We had a guy who would take dumps in random spots indoors so the Pvt's would need to clean it up. Few years later, the warrant officer who was laying the chits on base ( we called him "scat man" ) opened his SOPMOD case and found a bloody Hajji stool and intestine. Seems someone collected the "gift" after an AC-130 and three killer eggs came to the TIC for a merry go-round fireworks show.
