You can take away everything learned from the MPC x os capabilities and apply it to the MPC One and Plus. It's crazy how so much difference in price between the machines there is and how little difference there is between them all.

The free software plug-ins in total would you cost $300 xtra and the free software expansion packs is the reason they may call it special ! because they are giving it to you for free, if you want your x to be the same as the SE, you have to buy this software separately, which would increase the cost of your mpc x to $2500 and more, the hardware maybe the same, accept for the increase in ram and memory, but the vsti software inside mpc x se is different from the mpc x, only mpc key 61 is on par with the software vsti packaging.

Let’s be real. Will you be using this in stand alone? This thing will probably always be near a computer

Listen, I was a poster boy on 2GB's being enough. I understand the "vintage argument" on making what you have work back in the day, bu after learning the ins & outs of these modern MPC's the RAM IS NOT ENOUGH! Specifically if you use autosampler.
