Good common sense advice that applies pretty much everywhere, not just Paris. Another useful advice: get yourself a public transportation card with unlimited rides. Taxis and Ubers are expensive and not always available. When travelling bring only the bare minimum, it will be a lot less stress.

Paris is so big, you can find cheap accommodations and meals, don’t be scary to travel to France

Thanks, you have a similar travel and exploring style to me, I totally agree that most attractions are overrated and can be admired and explored without paying. Love your delivery style also easy to follow and understand. Good info thanks for the video I may visit next month.

Traveling to Paris for my 50th bday next year & I’m learning quite a bit from your vids. So much so, that I had to subscribe. Lovely voice, by the way. Do I detect a West Indian accent?

Do you know if Ubers have car seats available?

It’s cheaper because in Europe people get taxed about 50% of their wages! It’s a very different system to USA. So people have a lot less cash usually than Americans. If a ticket is 50€, you have to make 100€, in order to have 50€ in your pocket after tax. Then everything you buy has about 15-30% tax… so you’re paying MORE tax on items, with the money that you’ve already paid tax on 😂 it’s nuts

Do they have lots of mass shootings there? Is it safe to walk about after dark? Are there lots of homeless beggars in the streets? Blend in by not shouting, by speaking French, by not trying to use dollars, by taking two hour lunches, by using public transport.
