The chorus includes in the freeze signal make a great difference, I personally find that this pedal is better than the freeze of electro harmonix !

Where is the parallel pedal order? Why does everything have to go into each other, all the time? So much potential lost. I don't JUST only use parallel lines but aditionally have them with low and high pass filters for the top end of one effect and the Low end of another effect. rIGHT NOW its limiting for no apparent reason. When they make an update allowing all three or 2 -1 parallel with High, Bandpass, Low pass filter crossfading I will concider it. In my opinion it IS good, but Awesom? Not yet and I am very very sad.

This is such a great hands-on guide. I feel so much clearer about the true potential of this pedal after watching the video, far more than the manual did for me.

Is this pedal playing the audio out through the USB or something? I can't tell if anything is connected to the output of the Infinite.

too bad you don't have a video on the Sentry. Delay, reverb and items like that are typical, but settings for a noise gate are not intuitive and nobody has been able to do one on that pedal.

Can you explain a more simplified #9 using a dry 2x12 speaker cabinet and two powered studio monitors? In this example, can you just explain it with this gear: guitar, maybe an external overdrive, the X5, Two Note, 2x Studio monitors and a speaker cabinet. I'm note totally clear how the Two Note is connected back to the X5 or...I'm confused.

Setup #9. When you say, "You guessed it, it's the...." What are you saying? I can't understand what you said, the guitar volume was too high for me to hear it. It's sounds like you're saying, "...the 4-ish method".

Oh...I will use a zoom g1 four in the effects loop to only effect the TC Inifinite. Still at the very beginning of the chain. All OUT badass setup for this pedal. I love this video. I watched it like 5 times.

Two loopers (early-chain and end-of-chain PLUS the Infinite. Then I don't have to decide anything. Perfect setup if you ask me. This video helped me figure that out. And I bought one. Thank you. I hope you get credit for my purchase. I clicked on your link but I think I bought from Ebay so...maybe not. Just a heads up.

For me...I have a fairly complex pedalboard. So I think I would add this to the VERY BEGNNING of the chain, outside my pedalboard to work with the entire board. Kind of like my Looper/Tuner by Lekato. The loopstation. Although my looper is after my Hotone expression pedal. It's the same one the creator is using. Thanks for this video, Pedal Platform. But this is only because i have a Boss RC-10R at the end of my chain for the final looper. I always have a looper at the beginning and end. This pedal will sit outside the board before both loopers, as stated. That way I can use my baord to manipulate all the sounds PLUS i can use the built in effects of the Infinite.

Cool. Almost got a little very confused at the beginning. Does the loop "work" without the pedal being powered on is a loaded question. It works because some pedals with a loop output zero sound unless the pedal is turned on. I think that is what the question is. Do you still get the throughput sound of the original input with the pedal off. In that case the answer is YES! Yes you still get the original sound of the guitar without the pedal being turned on. The creator answered this but in a different way if thinking of it from this perspective. My noise gate has a loop...the Sophgate by Donner. But if you turn off the pedal you get zero cohesion with the rest of the board. Because it doesn't even allow the main guitar signal to pass through unless the pedal is actually powered on. The Two Notes Le Clean is my main preamp and it works the same way due to the goals of the effects loop on that pedal which are to integrate it into other Two Notes tube preamps. So it completely shuts off anything in the loop when the pedal is turned off. It took me a while to understand the concept at the beginning because I was expecting by your answer of NO... that the guitar would no longer have any output at all with it turned off. I am not nitpicking, just tailoring this response to the usage of the pedal in my given circumstances. Thanks, if you read this book. It's not copyrighted to feel free to quote me and not even have to give me recognition. Also...I just rambled this response without proofreading or anything so correct me if I'm wrong and comment and help this amazing channel out with the algorithm by responding to me as well. Okay I did do a couple of edits as you can see. Call me out on my BS.

Try the Adeline pickup which has a 1/4" jack and a gain knob for quick adjustment. Of all the pickup sytems I have tried (Cordoba GK - Fishman Aura Pro. Takamine CT4-DX with internal piezo pickups and many, many others) I have found the Adeline AD-85 ($31 right now, usually ~$65) to be the best and most convenient. I play nylon string Flamenco and this blew me away both for quality and price. (I don't use the Cordaba internal mics (boomy, proximity effect you can't dial out), and had the Fishman Aura Pro/Matrix pickups's installed on all my Cordobas at considerable expense, but they worke great). Then I tried the Adeline AD-85's. What an epiphany!!! Sounds just like my guitar (to me) only louder., and hardly any prolem with feedback at reasonable levels (so can use Heavy Metal patches at low volumes even - but why would you do that to an acoustic guitar sound? But a little compression/overdrive does wonders for Flamenco (IMO,YMMV, of course,

Hi Philip, just got the X5 some days I go. Honestly, you have the best video on how to use MIDI with it! Thanks! So, I could sucessfully make the Morninstar MC8 to control the X5, but one thing I could not make it work: I tried to send two CC messages to turn ON/OFF two pedals, but just the first CC message is read by the X5. Why is that? Any work around?
@PedalPlatform
@PedalPlatform 21 күн бұрын
That's because the X5 isn't always great at catching up with sequential CC messages. I'm not familiar with the MC8, but if you can setup a delay time between messages, try to add a few ms between your CCs until the X5 behaves. If the MC8 can't do this, try inserting any CC message to any unused channel between your "good" CCs to the X5. The idea is to "slow down" the MC8 to give the X5 time between acting on the first message it receives, and be ready for the second one, so if it doesn't work with one "empty" CC, add a few more until it does. Thank you for the kind words 🙏🏻
@csancini1
@csancini1 18 күн бұрын
@@PedalPlatform Thanks! I could make it work with a delay time between CC messages. But this is something that they need to fix anyway. Shorter delay times worked very inconsistently and I needed to use a very large one, like 250ms!

I hope TC is paying this guy to make up for the lack of manual and deliberately obfuscatory / non-existent support … potentially this is a great pedal but oh … the design concept is not an elegant one (a slapped-together evolution for sure with no retrospective refinement) .. plus that Editor and Plethora’s odd behaviour is a rock to push up hill. I’m still battling and I want to believe .. but only because there is no other similar compact x3 fx pedal out there.
@PedalPlatform

Narrator's voice: "This guy was not, in fact, being paid by TC..." ;) If you haven't yet, please check out my other videos on the Plethora series - I do a few deep dives into the inner workings, firmware updates, Editor, etc, and hopefully you can find answers to your questions there. The X3 is a little powerhouse, it just takes a bit of persistence to get around some of the quirks.
@alexhall6375
@alexhall6375 20 күн бұрын
I want to believe, really I do but … sigh … Here’s an example … Because Plethora only allows a limited amount of settings via the three knobs i need to use the Editor app to access the other parameters I need. So for example if I want to set up my own dual delay 300 and 500ms with Modulation and MASH fx, I can’t do that unless I use the Editor after selecting the closest TonePrint (Dual Delay), make the adjustments I want and then save as a new TonePrint, which I name… and the new name appears on Plethora BUT not only has nothing changed, but the settings I changed on Editor have all reverted back to the factory TonePrint settings. The manual isn’t much use, and the images don’t resemble what I see.. I’ve been through your uTubes, manuals and cannot see what I’m doing wrong .. so is Editor buggy? Secondly, is there a decent FORUM for this, I can see issues ahead and certain I’m not alone in wading through this clunky Editor/Plethora relationship.

Here’s a question: I have Boss Artist MK2 and a Boss GX100. The sound from the GX into my headphones is great. The amp speaker is what I need to EQ because it sounds flat. Is there a way to EQ the speaker channel only but ignore the headphone signal??

Hello. Is their a way to avoid audio Bump while changing preset on the EQ 200? When i switch from a memory1 to memory 2 via midi with my FLX8 Looper their is a bump/gap in the sound... So going from rhytm1 to Lead 2, I hear the small pause in the sound. It comes from the midi change i ask from the Boss pedal. and not from the looper. That an issue if you need to use midi programm change to change your EQ while playing and you ear the bump... It make this midi changes unusable to my anderstanding...

I just received my EQ200. We’d all be f-cked without this guy. 💪 The effect is as promised but there are a handful of irritants: -You can’t easily modify a saved EQ. It’s better to photograph the sliders in my opinion. It self destructs when adjusting. -Can’t name the memory? Cripes, it’s the 21st century for Pete’s sake. The graph is cute, but doesn’t do much other than give access to a confusing menu. -Doesn’t come with a basic power supply. Boss, Spend $50 more and create something more useful.

I've been searching for good solid information on using the TC Impulse Loader and yours is hands down the best source. No one else answered the basic questions I had about adding new impulse responses -- whether this pedal could handle WAV files (it comes with only KRIG files). Even websites who's sole purpose was to distribute IR's had no clues. Your demo of adding new IR''s was just what I needed.

I use 2 midi controllers with Plethora X5: M-VAVE Chocolate & Ampero Control. They're connected via Ampero's midi through. The major difference bethween the controllers is that M-wave doesn't let you save your settings (no banks) + it has less intuitive app. So, I programmed m-wave to do "static" things like changing pedalboards and turning on/off the tuner while Ampero is mostly about turning on/off several effects at once. However, there are some limitations to this scheme: 1) turning on/off several effects at once brings ~1 second lag which is rather anoying (similar lag occurs when you change the boards); 2) Ampero requires external power supply (standard 9v from pedalbord power supply will do); 3) the 2 units combined will take almost the same space on your pedalboard as Plethora X5
