Thanks for demo'ing clean sounds. Sounds seem very reasonable and I'm guessing it takes pedals well. I'm going to buy one as a backup or replacement to my Tech 21 Blonde. Will be interesting to hear it through my Headrush FRFR 1 x 8.

They take pedals really well! With my Ibenez tube screamer in front of it, it's sounds amazing or at least extremely good. I also have a cab simulator I run it into before my daw. I had these two devices before I bought the tc amp worx. I'm curious to get my hands on a ua audio dream but I definitely enjoy the results I'm getting from the tc electronic device. I use it for recording at my studio.

I have rhis pedal and run it through my 4x10 concert amp and it sounds fernomanal! I play clean 98 percent ofvthe time and its great!

Not a TCE fanboy either. Only thing that is weird is you have to ‘reset’ the knobs (see his cranking all the way down then coming back up). Not a deal breaker. Dude does stay on the bridge pickup a lot.

They do the knob reset thing so that you can have different settings on each channel. You set the green channel sound how you want, switch to the red channel and set that how you want and it remembers the settings for both channels, even when you turn the pedal off and on again (it even remembers whether you had reverb on or off as well as how much reverb you dialed in for each channel, too!). It's super handy two have great sounds that are completely different from each other with one button press. It's a really amazing pedal for the price and it even beats the Fender sound in my much more expensive Strymon Iridium, in my opinion.

I have this pedal and love it! Turned my dark DV Mark amp into a totally different tonal range!! One small thing...when you change 'channels' to the 'red channel' there is a short delay but enough to be noticeable. It is about 1/2 a second but there is a definite pause. However also it needs a good power source. I was running cheap daisy chain and it hums but with a proper isolated power source it is at its best (but that goes for most pedals though...). It made me now longer want a Tonemaster amp now! It sounds that good!

Obligatory comparison with the Harley Benton American Sound. I had the UAFX Dream '65 and for all the accolades it got, and my own initial honeymoon phase over, I sold it and went back to the HB American Sound. I wonder if this specific pedal is a worthy succesor (somehow it kinda sounds/feels like this is just a tweaked version of that pedal with an IR instead of the original EQ curve masquerading as a cab sim on the Tech 21/Joyo

1:30 No wonder every review I have seen on this, the gain is turned up. TC has failed in making the clean sound loud enough to be heard. Opposite of what Fender has done. With Fender amps, you can get extremely loud and stay clean. This pedal does not do this. This pedal appears to have been designed to only get loud when the gain is turned up meaning that the sound gets overdriven. There is no clean sound here. Disappointed in TC.

Before you get too disappointed, have you tried it personally to check that it also happens on your particular use case? I ask this because in this demo, I set the gain on my audio interface so that I could get a healthy recording level, without clipping, when starting with all pots at noon - and because this pedal can get really hot on the higher gain settings, that means cutting down the gain on the recording to the point that you can't hear the lower (pedal) gain settings. My bad, maybe I should have turned it up some for the lower gain settings. I can guarantee that if you crank the recording level, and turn the pedal output level all the way up, it will get clean. Almost annoyingly so.

The gain is actually like the volume knob on a fender amp and level is like a overall output master, that wasn't available on the original.

Every review I've seen they seem to struggle to get a a clean sound at a reasonable volume, just seems there no headroom, my mustang mini is quite similar

@@pads-zr9ln That's what an old non-MV amp is like. Plus this is designed to be DI'ed, which means it'll be going into a preamp, which has a knob where you can raise the level.... Really weird criticism to make.
