Let me add. Previous generation had most of the LGBTQ people to pretend to be heterosexual and force themselves into a marriage with the opposite gender. Now, that’s not the case anymore.

I’m 28 open to having children but not marriage

Can't speak on behalf of other millennials but I sure am one. I already knew at age 10 I didn't want kids. I have more reasons not to have them now but the original one has to do with growing up in a dysfunctional family. I'm still hoping to find a partner (and wouldn't be opposed to marriage) but I'm absolutely not having kids.

Wages have actually shrunk over the last 45 years when adjusted for inflation. As such, no one can afford to have kids. Now everyone is panicking because no one is having kids. What, exactly, did the masters of the universe think was going to happen?

Would I love for a woman to love me and be my partner for life? Absolutely. Absolutely I get lonely living alone since my father died in 2006. But, I ALSO LOVE MY FREEDOM. No fear worrying about farting around a woman. Would I love for government or other individuals to force a woman to be my wife or partner like cuntservaturds CLEARLY want to do but are TOO COWARDLY to openly state is their intention? HELL NO!!

What I wrote to Peter Zeihan on Joe Rogan show: "Hey, stupid narrow-minded smug arrogant shithead Zeihan! I was born 1964. I went my life from nursery school right up through PhD in Math in 2000 doing homework on pencil and paper and typing on a mechanical typewriter (through 1986 for my BChE) I went on protests against the Draize Eye Test and protests for animal rights with my SACA = Student Action Corps for Animals group, of which I was a Treasurer. I ALWAYS feared for my FREEDOM protesting IN PERSON. I was SO THANKFUL and GRATEFUL that high speed internet came along (for me: September 2002) so that I / we could be POLITICALLY ACTIVE REMOTELY: WITHOUT RISKING OUR FREEDOM BY THUG COPS!"

Male. Millennial. Life is too much of a shit sandwich. Product of divorce. Seen too much divorce from friends and family. My cousin died before his wedding leaving behind his partner and son. I don't trust anyone and the interest of wanting to be in a relationship has decayed. And the thought of having to be some nuclear provider for society kind of sucks ass. Plus I think that the church is bullshit. The whole abstinence before marriage contrust can go to the bin. Fuck I'm a bit of a cynic lol.

You have to remember though, money can't buy happiness. If you have a million dollars and a sick partner, money can not heal them, as much as their partners LOVE can.( Love is very spiritual) Money can only help to some extent, but God said LOVE is the No.1Mental health cure! One of Gods 4 Cardinal qualities: 1.LOVE 2.WISDOM.3.POWER.4.JUDGEMENT Remove the main one, ( 1) and you have a very damaged society. 💔 Which is why He created LOVE in the very begging. No one human can live without it. Love for humans needs to come first, not money, luxuries, etc. This is "self- interest ". What the Bible talks as " devilish interest, aka "self love." Also greed as in SELF LUXURIES, that most dont need, this is all negative things that " assume to bring people happiness, but the reality: it doesnt last, forever". This is the devils version of " love". For self only. Only caring for self, esp in money, and greed, is very dangerous. Not self interest as in the bible, mentions: Giving free will: love and empathy, compassion, helping others, Only this way of "Gods Love" will work out with society and governments. But since many are hostile to even come to know God, or they hate Him, etc. Which is why now we live in an expensive, "overcharging" violence, etc etc lifestyle. And it will only get worse. The word LOVE is soon going to disappear, the way the world is going with " self interest " and money for self luxuries.

Let’s be perfectly clear here: Most folks don’t really want kids - they end up with them because of family or societal pressures to have them. Prove me wrong.

To be honest.. if making a living isn't as tough as now.. I'd have no problem to start a family. Sometimes, I thanked that I don't have a family as it will definitely cause a lot of stress in my life if I do.. especially I now have a house mortgage. As my saying.. there's no point in living if you're enduring work and have no progress in your financials. It's not that it's SAD and HARD., because it's POINTLESS.

Bravo for giving yourself permission to be in the locations that make you content and happy. Location Matters. Psychologist Theodore Sarbin talks about this with his theory of place identity before self identity. We must first answer the question “where am I?” before we can answer the question “who am I?”
@ConorSantry Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comment Gino! I wasn’t familiar with the theory you shared. Super interesting. Since you mentioned it I’ve read a little about it in your article “Transformation Talk: Setting the Stage for Change through Emotional "Interior Design". I also did some Google research about it. Learned a lot! Appreciate you bringing that to my attention.
