Thx for starting with clean tone and building from there. Your demo is great and the spatial effects sound superb. Id imagine with headphones these are quite addictive and tough to live without. I had a Korg Pandora that had a wide stereo chorus i loved, but the “looper” was like a 2 sec max. Still very fun.

Im about to buy one of these tomorrow but it has a busted reverb tank. Anyone got some good tutorials on how to replace the reverb tank?
@joehansonguitar
@joehansonguitar 4 күн бұрын
The reverb tank is easy to replace. There’s two plugs on it: 1 is a send and the other a return. The tank is screwed in the chassis of the amp. Just make sure you don’t get the two wires accidentally swapped when replacing

@eliosnavarro nice!! I tell many of my guitar students that if you play these things long enough you start learning to fix certain things yourself and save some money. So cool that you found a JC90 as they didn’t make them for very long even though in my opinion it’s an amazing amp. ✌🏻

Dude I used to DVD case to block the bridge just so I can change the strings and when I got done now the bridge is sitting really low into the guitar. WTF happened?

Sounds like either you changed string gauge and or tuned the guitar lower

@@joehansonguitar I just paid a guitar tech at guitar center to get things right after 3 years of my guitar being out of commission and then this happened. I do believe it was maybe from the string gauge change but I didn't expect it to be that severe of a difference. I screwed it up originally trying to tune it from standard to C I finally got it somewhat in tune and at a decent action but the strings feel really loose and wobbly

I have a Vibrolux and Love it, but I still want a Twin Reverb just for home use! Nothing sounds like a Twin Reverb for cleans.
@joehansonguitar
@joehansonguitar 5 күн бұрын
The Twins IMO are the pinnacle of clean headroom: crank it up and it just stays clean and LOUD! The Vibrolux is an amazing amp but I’m currently looking for a deluxe reverb as it has a single 12” speaker and I’m more of fan of 12’s than 10’s 🎸✌🏻

@@joehansonguitar what I think about JC is this: Obviously, it has a revered clean sound, a reference for this category. But not only that. It is a straight, constant clean sound. If you put an overdrive or distortion on it, you can still identify the clean sound there, it remains and gives you a sound with personality. It does not give in completely to distortion, so it does not harm your hearing.

Is it possible to put a mini strat neck and put it onto a regular size strat body? Thank you
@joehansonguitar
@joehansonguitar 20 күн бұрын
I just measured the neck pockets and bolt pattern on both guitars and they the same. The problem you may run into is the mini strat neck has only 20 frets so if you bolted the mini neck on, you could have a gap at the end of the neck unless you redrill the screw holes in the mini neck.
