That was a interesting topic. I didn’t know people are backing up from KZbin. I agree it is though. But I think we just need to enjoy it. I am also a small channel but still in a journey to find the ultimate pleasure tone.😂 I just hope people can join my journey to find it together. Looking forward to your next video! Cheers! 🎸🔥🙏🔥🎸

The bad thing is that we’re both old enough to remember C. Everett Koop, the good thing is we both have a sense of humor and are constantly looking to learn new stuff. Thanks for taking the time to make me laugh

I’m pretty much in agreement with you, and I’m kind of in the same place you are. I too am thinking long game and how else to make money through KZbin other than AdSense. I can see so much potential. It’s just figuring out a way to get there.
@JazzRockswithAdam7 ай бұрын
I sell PDF lessons on some of my videos and I make more with that than I do with AdSense. For sure. But I also want to have a teaching website like you.

Interestingly enough I was on the phone today with a long time creator who drove the point home about building an email list and I just bought a dedicated domain to match my channel so I'm definitely going all in on building that website. I've seen guys like Tim Pierce and many others talk about their primary source of revenue is through courses. Websites like Teachable and Kajabi are also on my radar for potential hosting. I may be way off by making a video like this as I've only been making content for a year and a half. I look at someone like you who has far more subs than me and knows more of the in's and out's so I may be hitting you up for advice soon! @@JazzRockswithAdam

I think the whole "I'm quitting KZbin" thing is comparable to Cher retirement tours.. lol I'm not quitting. I do take a hiatus now and then and it's nice to take a break. I really enjoy making videos though. I'm home recovering from knee replacement for the next 5 weeks and all I can think about is what videos I'm going to make. KZbin has 6 billion users, there's plenty of pie to go around.

selfishly, I would be ok with a lot of youtube guitar channels going away. There are so many channels that have millions of views and yet they they have the guitar skills of someone who has been playing for a month and they have no interest or desire to get better. Rhett Shull, 60 cycle hum, Marty Schwartz, those two worship guitar guys, Trogly, and a few more. all very sub par guitar players and yet people watch their videos for some reason. not everyone who picks up a hobby, needs to be a content creator, and those some creators damn sure dont need signature guitars!! Ok, rant over!
@xamislimelight89658 ай бұрын
Rags on people's skills, calls them "subpar" players, has absolutely 0 videos on his channel. All those channels you listed have something you don't: the balls to fucking try, and that makes them 100 times better than you. Because they're not Steve Vai level players, that actually makes their channels more relatable as their opinions and such are more rooted in what us every day players are used to. Gate keeping like this when you have absolutely 0 evidence of being any better makes you look like an asshole. Good luck with those bass lessons. Remember: the biggest string is the E

@@joehansonguitar they think youtube was a job. No. They gave people a platform to upload their context for free. People can always go build their own website and pay for the storage that it would take to upload 4k videos, and let there friends do it for free. See how long that lasts. KZbin never hired them or promised them an income. They just grewup with it and didn't see the difference.

It's pretty hilarious that you've been monetized for a hot minute and you feel you have the authority to criticize people who have literally millions of subscribers, staff, sponsors etc as if they're all just making videos in their spare room like you are. Most of the people who i see quitting or scaling back run teams, which (as someone with a team that's hit 25 at times) is a completely different ballgame. Also, the thing about "it's not quitting if they don't delete everything" is just... It's so funny when the smallest morsel of success goes to someone's head.
