My laptop's display is 120hz and it only supports HDMI 2 so will this monitor give me 120 hz over HDMI 2 ? And why DELL does not supply HDMI cable ?

IPS Black and the U2723QE are very disappointing. I upgraded from the U2720Q and the upgrade proved to be a disappointment. The old Dell monitor has much better colors, better contrast, etc. It is also not true that IPS Black has deeper blacks than IPS. Simply not true in practice.

Many of these units OVERHEAT like crazy, FAN would die due to non-stop revving, and the CPU performance would be throttled. Many of these units use CHEAP plastic, nowadays, instead of magnesium alloy.

This is the best information I’ve heard yet for this monitor.

$150 on black Friday on Amazon and from Dell too.

auto brightning doesn't work here. It is a lie. The sensor is very weak and it makes the screen too dark. And it doesn't matter whether the room is bright or dark.

Can anyone vouch for text sharpness at native resolutions. I'd kill for a reviewer to make a screen capture of 2560x1440 available.

What do you think - is it better to take the reviewed DELL for working with graphics or is it better to take the 27" Samsung Odyssey G50D (LS27DG502EIXCI)???

Good review! I'm at the point of choosing dell monitor between 27 and 34 inches. Could you please help me to understand one thing? I have two laptops and one dell monitor. I would like to have dynamic picture by picture change from 75:25 (when my left laptop is active) to 25:75 when I switch to right laptop. For instance, I setup hot key for laptop switch (ctrl+alt+1) for left monitor. And when I apply this hot key I want picture by picture to be 75:25. For the right monitor I would have hot key ctrl+alt+2 and when I apply it I would like to have 25:75 automatically, without any additional actions. Is that possible?

You would think this might be a rather long video, nevertheless, if you are about to and you have already made up your mind to buy one of these laptops, the video becomes very interesting, amusing, clarifying and very useful to a simple mortal who is expecting reliability from a laptop, more than a gaming experience. Not saying this should be a gaming monitor but 120 refresh rate should be standard by now. For christ sakes mid tier phones/tablets have them no reason a monitor of this price point should lack this feature

I just got 2 of these monitors, I have dell laptop with linux and my 2nd PC will be a mac-mini. Probably a unique combo for sure. Can I use the bottom USB-C with power for my laptop and the 2nd monitor USB-C with power for the mac-mini? I am less concerned about the actual power supply and more about just using that USB-C port for video input. Id like to switch between both computers but have both use dual displays. I know ill still need to daisy-chain them together with the display port cable. Thanks.

simple question. i cant sit thru 30 mins of video to search for a 1 sentence answer. I have a USBC webcam. This monitor is connected to my pc via a single HDMI cable. Can I connect my webcam to this monitor directly so i can use it? or does the webcam need to be connected to the pc directly.

My experience with tihis keyboard and mouse. Keyboard is not flat so it trembles. Mouse is not as accurate as i hoped for. PC does not awake from a keystroke when connected via bluetooth. For the rest, set is quite ok.

I would really want to buy this monitor, but cant find anywhere information about luminance uniformity. Does it have darker edges/corners? What are the delta's if so? And does it have uniformity compensation setting like some of your other monitors?

I like my 17.3 inch laptop I got in 2017 because the RGB color was around the whole border of the screen and the bottom part and the keyboard the whole thing lit up now the laptop only lights up in the back where the cooling vents are and maybe on the side.

Im using a studio display with my mac but i want to use this monitor too. When I connect my mac to studio, it charges my mac so if I connect this monitor with usb-c(video and data) my mac will be receiving double charge. So, can I connect my mac to the another usb-c upstream port?

does the Dell S2725DS has at least an adaptive sync or anything else?

I understand that if I connecr the monitor via TB4 to my TB4 capable laptop, I dont need any other cables. However if the 2nd PC is a desktop PC connected to the DE via DP1.4 cable and daisy chained to a 2nd monitor via the DP out, do I need to connect any other cables from the desktop to the DE so it can use the keyboard, mouse and ethernet? My desktop has TB4 via the motherboard chipset.
