Oh cool, didn't expect an Opel Ascona over there - even right hand drive. And looking really beautiful! The red BMW 3-series is really nice looking although it's of course not a real M3 but only the M badge. I find these G wagons alwass interesting but wow are these pricey no matter what age they are. Beautiful Granada estate beside the Duke of Bugs beetle. 3:11 does remind me about Mike+Maia's EDE. I like these old Swedish Bricktanks from Volvo. Especially these from the late 90s was very nice - a mix of sport and elegance. I also like the red Peugeot 309 - I found them always interesting but never did I buy one. The older Peugeots didn't had the greatest reputation back then (not even nowadays, haha - but can be also because of bad Peugeot repair shops and/or bad cars). Or well, actually I did buy two but scaled down in 1/18, hehe. I heard the 309 was originally planned to become a Talbot Arizona. The Peugeot 406 Coupé is really lovely. I wanted to buy one of these as well - at the end I did buy the saloon. A 406 V6 from 2001 with the black grill but the also in this bright blue metallic. If I'm remembering right the colour was calles Delphine Grey although it was blue but not grey. But I can remember the electronic gizmos from back then - I don't want to ask if it's better when they've aged. Cool Plymouth Prowler - really super rare cars! Very cool that the kid also asked you about the car. Nowadays it's seeming a lot of kids do only love to play around on their smartphones and caring less about cars. So I am always happy to see a young growing car enthusiast. Lovely decals on the blue Plymouth. Not sure what model it is - first guess was Belvedere GTX or Road Runner but the C-pillar is looking different. But Wikipedia is also not always showing all possible variations. What a nice bunch of TVRs. Oh and that RR Silver Shadow - what an amazing colour! I totally love such dark red metallic paints. And it's looking amazing on that Rolls! I totally like the front end design of the Ford Anglia. But the weird rear window on the saloons is looking as crazy as at the Citroen AMI. Cool Fiat Punto convertible. Very reliable cars even in high age. But after a certain age some people are driving them who don't maintain them anymore. Also these feel a bit cheap to drive - my Mum had the 3 door hatchback of these. In 13 years no problem - only stuff that needed to get replaced were the breakes but that's wear and tear - never had any other issue with it. She is still regreting that she sold it around 5-6 years ago. It was the most reliable car she ever had - and she didn't even go with it on every year to the repair shop for inspection. It's a miracle the car was staying this reliable. But I heard the same story just 2-3 years ago also from another granny who was at a Fiat repair shop looking at one of these modern Fiat 500e when I told them a very little about the 500e, haha, she was believing I am a salesman over there but I am only a car enthusiast. But I also had a nice talk about her Punto and same story there. I told her to keep the Punto. Thanks a lot for the shoutout Glyn!

I can remember I've also seen a Honda NSX in this year. Luckily the owner did also show the engine - I was always believing it's in the front. But it's like a Tesla having a trunk and a frunk, haha. Nice Honda Prelude, I like the colour. Although I am not a big fan of this generation - I can remember it was a flop over here in regards with the sales. A lot of people did complain about the design which was too different to the previous two generations. So the next generation did look again like the Mk2 and Mk3. But I heard nothing bad about the cars - although I don't know how they were after 10 years. Suzuki Carry ... I can remember these Kei-Vans in China. Chinese people did tell me to don't use them because they're known to be suicide taxis, hahaha. But for sure the cheapest van.

So many great British classics. Totally loving the blue Jaguar. The amount of Jaguars and Daimlers in Hattersheim was really amazing. I was also very much impressed because I didn't expect it. Pre-Corona I was also not remembering to that I've seen them. By the way when speaking of Jaguar ... I've today sold mine because last week was the next problem and it meant that in the next weeks or months I'd perhabs even need a new catalyst ... too expensive for me especially in this short time. So I burnt too much money and just "exchanged" it to an ordinary VW Golf so that I can still keep my 40 years old Audi 80 which was in 9 years not as expensive as the X-Type in 2 months. Sometimes it's better to pull the plug. Although I bet the next owner will have no problem because the cat perhabs just only didn't like me, hahaha. It's like cats are ... very stubborn and selfish, hahaha. Today I've been at a classic car show in my hometown. There was really a lot. The beginning was very weak but when I was about to leave then finally a lot of classic cars appeared and even so much different compared to last year. Of course also some in different conditions even far away from a "new" condition. But I also like these because they're survivors and hopefully getting restored. So each scratch has a story. But I must admit the perfect looking ones are always more impressing. These Jags are so beautiful. Very elegant with a lot of style. Oh, you mentioned about the Cooper grill. That's a detail I yet don't know. So for me it is always difficult to know what kind of Mini I'm seeing. In my childhood simply every Mini was a Cooper, hehe, because a child I was believing Mini is the brand and Cooper the model, hehe. These old Minis are also so amazing. Thinking about how less of a car was really enough. Oh wow the Jag at 10:22 - I was actually thinking it's a Bentley or Rolls-Royce. But I can also notice the style of the C-pillar which was also used for the Mark 2. And thinking about that little triangle window of the rear passenger door then I always state that the X-Type was also copying this design. The Vaushall Cresta is looking amazing. Back then when it weren't just re-badged Opels. Also a very American design. Was Vauxhall also a part of General Motors before they had the rebadged Opel cars? Also a beautiful Vauxhall Victor estate. The Vauxhall Cavalier Convertible is also very nice - I like these - although I'm knowing a lot of Opel friends don't like this car so much because it was the first one with front wheel drive. The Vauxhall Nova is looking really nice and fresh. Oh and you even got the Nova saloon ... it was produced in Brazil. We had it in Germany as well. It was calles Corsa TR over here - but it was already rare over here when it was new. For some reason some saloons just don't sell well here. I had such kind of talk also with the VW guy today - like about the VW Passat and VW Jetta ... you can sell any Mercedes and BMW as a saloon but most other brands have a hard life about that. Astra Coupe, very nice. But the droop snoop Firenza was really a highlight just to the end!

So many great Fords. What I am always wondering is if there are currently more Ford Escort RS Cosworth existing than originally were produced. Aside the convertible and a few RS 2000 it is also still an Escort of this generation that is still seen relatively often. I still need to get used to see the Granada nameplate on what here was called the Scorpio. Lovely Capri - I had to check if it is one of them that also always appears at the big Ford Capri meeting in Speyer/Germany. But this one here is an older one. The ones I've seen in Speyer had license plates starting with E375 and E595. But also in this lovely blue with the nice decals. The Ford Mondeo ST220 with its 3.0L engine is very much related to the Jaguar X-Type 3.0 - at least under the hood. But Jaguar did also modify a lot about it. The guy from the Ford repair shop is always happy when I am there with my car (well, me not so much because I spent already some grands into it, lol). But he's so fascinated about seeing the differences so when it stops being a Mondeo which makes the X-Type also much less of a Mondeo than from what he was always told, hehe. Anyway, totally loving the blue metallic paint of the ST220. A fellow of mine owned the estate of it for a while. But he never told me why he sold it ... assuming I can imagine it, haha. It can be suddenly quite expensive fixing things even if the car is looking like being in a great condition.

Interesting, I did think this is only celebrated in the US. I am curious if I can also film again at the airshow in my region ... yet the weather seems still like to be in April. I can't believe I already had my birthday in end of June because it still feels like it's April. American classics are always interesting. So much different to our Euro cars. On the other hand I must say there are tons of UK cars I didn't know about. Today I was watching a video about a resin model car of a 1961 Vanden Plas Princess 3-Litre MKII - what a beautiful car that I never saw before! Aww that red Corvette C1! Amazing! Far behind I was also seeing a Peugeot 309. Also very interesting. So my guess is you did create a compilation of the US cars for their celebration day ... haha, finally you hear it clicking in my head and you can say "he got it", haha. Well, reading the title also could help, hehe. At the beginning I was thinking it was just one festival you filmed there, hehe.

As you say Sven its a compilation not one show but some of the best. Patina...a green or brown film on the surface of bronze or similar metals, produced by oxidation over a long period.. Can we just say paintwork is poor, back in the 80's early 90's we wouldn't have batted an eyelid on a quick £500 quid respray ( done tons of them) , now though we wouldn't dare consider a respray for under £6k, how times change.
@TipTopMotors.
@TipTopMotors. 23 күн бұрын
This is not meant as a sarcastic comment so please don't take it that way. The written word can often be misinterpreted. I have considered your comment and accept that on reflection it would seem that perhaps my description was a little out of context .i suspect due to watching too many antiques and tv programme's that use patina to cover something well worn. It wasn.t my intention to mislead anyone and the use of the word patina would be unfair to use in this case. It was meant in a friendly way. The car itself was not in a poor condition it was just not perfect but not bad enough in my view to describe it as poor. It was in remarkable shape. its the balance between do you keep it original or paint it. As you comment resprays seemed more affordable (a quick blow over) and of course quality varied greatly . Its easy to think that £500 seemed cheap by todays standards but you have to consider it was relevant to wages and living costs of the day but as i recall they did seem more affordable back then. The current issue is everything seems to cost so much today so to get a good paint job not everyone can afford or want to spend that much on something that they will see no return.

Beautoful Vauxhall Victor. When seeing the side profile then I can see some similarities to the Opel Rekord C. But of course front end and rear end is looking very different. From what I read it seems like Vauxhall didn't use the Opel Rekord platform before the FE series which shared the platform on the Opel Rekord E. I am also in the opinion if it needs to get replaced then do it. The costs when you wait too long can be much worse - of like you mentioned it could have become as bad to destroy the car. And like as we're calling cars in Germany simply Auto ... so it begins with Ahhhh and ends with Ohhhh ... so you want to scream and run away, haha. But well, I am also feeling with you about when suddenly there is much more to get fixed than expected. I had my X-Type in last week at the repair shop for an inspection to check what needs to get done aside of the alternator that I already knew that it is mostlikely broken. In next week I'll get the first stuff fixed which costs already more than expected but I'll just let it done in two steps so the last stuff will get fixed in July. Because the bill was ohhhh so much higher than expected because aside the expensive alternator which also caused a lot of time to check the electrical system because there was a weird modification on the alernator and they didn't know if it is on purpose or someone didn't know what he/she/it was doing. Luckily it is the last option. But it were extra costs that I wanted to avoid. On Wednesday and Tuesday they're going to fix the first big step. So alternator and water pump needs to get replaced - luckily the Ford Mondeo parts will work for it - they checked for the Jaguar box but it costs twice as much instead of the OEM alternator and waterpump. One belt also needs to get replaced. The other one is fine. Then they need to fix a little part of the braking hose and one dust shield of the brakes on the rear axle. This costs me already quite a lot - there will be of course also a service done to get the engine oil and brake fluid replaced. So you can imagine it won't be cheap - but this stuff won't be broken in the next few years. So it's done and it should be done. Then also the engine breather hose needs to get replaced but that's something I am doing by myself because there's nothing you can do wrong. A few chips on the underbody should get done - nothing too series. But it could just rust in winter. I am going to get this done before winter. Overall they are very satisfied about the condition. Such great looking sills, etc. No rust on the typical places. So at least about this I am knowing the last owner did still care. About the engine bay it is looking like it was only getting maintainanced until 5 years ago. But well, story doesn't end yet for my X-Type ... on Wednesday the hand break did stop working. And on Friday the co-passenger front door lock did stop working (at least it's keeping the door unlocked so it is easier to get it done. So for the June and July I'll shout "ouch" when looking at the balance of my account. But whenever I am sitting in the Jag and starting the engine then I am getting a happy face. And I'm knowing from the repair shop that the car is overall in a great condition. So I can feel with you ... suddenly there's more that needs to get fixed but better it's done and then you can enjoy your car again.
@TipTopMotors.
@TipTopMotors. Ай бұрын
Sorry to hear of your issues with the Jag. I think Jaguar parts are more expensive than other cars i know. I think Rolls Royce parts would probably be cheaper. Just had a quick look for an X Type 3.0 alternator at SNG Barratt where my parts came from was shocked at £900 for an alternator. Ridiculous and thought of alternatives ie have it rebuilt would that be cheaper and then found this site where price reduces to 188 to 306 Euro's. Bit of a difference. www.mister-auto.de/gv/lichtmaschine/jaguar/x-type/15608/ Dont know what the Ford parts cost. Water pump at SNG better ie Genuine Jag 201.27 euro or aftermarket 52.91 euro. www.sngbarratt.com/English/#/DE/parts/f50c0004-de33-4502-b47c-e3f7ffa19048?fromCategory=ENGINE%20COOLING%20SYSTEM(12442)&saveBranch=DE At least when the works done as you say you know your car is as good as it can be and up to date but it doesn't stop the costs hurting. I had a water pump, some hoses, new pressure caps x2, 50% antifreeze, radiator pressure tested. I told the garage i was putting a penny a week in the jar so that should cover the costs hopefully, Ha, Ha. I was concerned what was the final bill going to be like but it wasn't too bad all things considered. Could have been a lot worse despite two strip downs to get radiator out again and antifreeze replaced again however it will have flushed the system through. To put it in context i bought a daily run around two years ago(a Vauxhall Corsa great little car) the bill for the Jag cost a third more than the price i paid for the run around. I feel for you Sven. Hope it doesn't cause you too many issues.

@@TipTopMotors. I can remember the Ford guys told me about the Jaguar alternator for approx. 1100 EUR which is around the same around 930 GPB. It was shocking. They also checked for the official Ford alternator and at the end they decided for the Denso alternator. They told me it is actually the company that also built it for Ford. About the waterpump I don't know about their choice. But they told me it's the same as for the Mondeo. About the alternator they had to check a bit deeper because they noticed although the engine bay is looking quite as same as about the Ford Mondeo ST220 but the electric system is different once it leaves the alternator. So although the connector is the same but different cable codes and also it is not just only a different colour of the wire. They were glad that I was able to show them the circuit plan from the X-Files UK website. I also hope it won't cause too many issues after it is fixed. In last week just the handbreak and a doorlock was a not so pleasant addition that needs to get fixed soon. Tomorrow I'll give it over to them and I'll also ask them to take a look about the handbrake. Maybe they can easily fix it because it is not seeming like it's ruptured - but hard to tell because it has two wires. So perhabs one wire is ruptured but then usually both should get replaced. No idea how much this will cost but it needs to get done.

It's always amazing when being the first time on a show you don't know especially when it is looking with such a great variety like this here. The owner at the first car can be also very proud. Totally loving the colour. The camper van is really beautiful. Loving the two-tone paint. I've never seen a Commer before. Dennis is also an unknown brand to me. But I can remember to have seen once a Dennis fire truck in one of these Bentley Girl parodies. Interesting, I've never seen an MG Midget with the "rubber lips". I am only remembering this on the MGB. But the Midget is also less popular here compared to the MGB. Lovely 309! And I have noticed on the videos from the last show that I've seen a 309 as well and totally forgot to film the front. Nowadays so super rare and I only filmed the rear end, grrr. The blue metallic paint on the Peugeot is really looking great - I am loving blue metallic which makes me also very happy about my Jag. Oh wow, the Peugeot 309 is looking really very nice like new ... the low mileage on the speedometer is definately matching with the condition. I also like the blue Ford Sierra at 8:29 - although I like the previous series more in terms of the design but these also have vanished a lot. 5 years ago I was still seeing a few of them in daily traffic but nowadays no more. Oh and then there comes one of the previous series ... even a Cosworth, very nice very nice! The Jaguar XJ before was also very nice. Very elegant car. Silver suits the car very well. The Audi is a Quattro (Type 85). I can notice it by the wider fenders and also the 5 hubnuts on the rims. The Coupé (Type 81) with the Fwd only had four hubnuts per wheel. Beautiful Vauxhall Victor estate. Looking so different compared with the Opel Rekord D estate. Looking sporty especially in yellow. Assuming the Skyline is a Japan import when seeing the small license plate at the rear end. Oh at the end a Nissan Bluebird ... one of these rare survivors, amazing!

As the name implies its small and smaller than a spitfire. i really thought the 309 was quite special. Even the real lights the plastic was shinny and new. Very special. I suppose i should have taken more footage of the Cosworth but so much to see you dont always get to see everything, The xj40 was nice but did.nt get to have a good look or talk with the owner. It was an unusual colour. I knew but didn.t say it was a quattro, i remember them new when they first came out. I didn.t know the difference with the nuts so thats interesting to know. cheers Sven. The Skyline would have been an import we didn.t get official imports until much,much later. The bluebird will be seen in another video.

Looks a great show - so nice the 3 door 309 hasn't been turned into a rally car / GTI lookalike. The white Viva HB - think it was the same year as my mum's so that was a personal favourite. Look forward to part 2

It would have been sacrilege if that 309 had been turned into anything else. Go and wash your mouth out with soap.🤣

seems you cant please all the people. The clue is in the title its a teaser trailer. The full show report will follow later. Shame you have to destroy a video before it gets off the ground and spoil it for others. This is a non paying hobby video which i didn't have to share but decided to. Criticism is easy to make. In the adult world we cant always get want we want.

Wow, what a nice variety of cars. And this is just only the teaser. If I'd be on that show I guess it will turn out to be a series of at least 10 parts of approx. 15 minutes because I couldn't just another than filming all of these beauties. Ah, I am remembering the orange Ford Popular from last year. The blue metallic paint of the Ford Escort RS Cosworth is looking so amazing. Loving that colour. When seeing the Ford Cougar in the New Edge design then it reminds me about the last show I visited a week ago in Hattersheim. There was also one and it is ages ago when I've seen the last one. When it was new I didn't like it too much - the Ford Probe was looking better for sure. But nowadays it is so rare that it is great again. But also I noticed that it is ages ago when I've seen the last Ford Probe. So much great cars ... can't mention all of them. Looking forward to see the rest.

Thanks Sven. hopefully it won't disappoint. The Ford pops are always out and about and i never tire of seeing them. They are a great bunch of lads but this year i met one of their brother in laws he was the odd one out he had a lovely MG ZT V8. Wont get 10 parts a few good ones and some special features. I spend too much time talking to the owners but that's what its all about for me.

@@TipTopMotors. At the Classics & Coffee I was also enjoying more to talk. Earlier I was always in the hurry because I wanted to film everything, haha. But I keep calmer now ... Last year I filmed this much so I don't want to end up again in this year with this amount of videos through the winter time, haha.
