Yes, You can 1 year is enough if you can give 8 dedicated hrs daily. So, 1.5 years is more than sufficient if done properly.

I would suggest buying a proper test series for this particular part as this is very much important and not that much costly.

They had tried to arrange syllabus but lectures are very deep and so might be boring for everyone. Hence NPTEL gate preparation is good only when you have enough time and patience to understand the topic. Once done, It would be technically very beneficial for you but only if it is done properly.

I already understood the concepts somewhat on a surface lvl during clg lectures. Is nptel gate portal good as a refresher/crash course for a 3rd yr (5th sem) student aiming for 2026 gate and with placements just around the corner?

Most of the companies put 7+ CGPA criteria and in best case they atleast demand 60% or 6.5+ CGPA.

Cracking gate is very easy and anyone can do it in 3-4 months of smart preparation. Also, You should target for 850+ score and since you are in 3rd sem so there is enough time for you to prepare and get 75+ marks in gate.

Works on make yourself skilll rather than gate exam 3rd sem students can also starts coding and try for placement if there is no placement it doesn't mean in future you have no chance of you have skill the. You can easily get placed 😂😂😂

Agr tmhe GATE syllabus acche se complete kra diya hai to tm seedhe practice aur question solving pe aa jao. Jo subject whan nhi smjh aaye hai wo online pdh lo. Ek bar gate syllabus ki pdf khol ke dekh lena ki college walo ne sb cover kiya hai....koi topic rhta ho to wo bhi pdh lena

Read basics, Start with simple problems and code them. Move to complex problems slowly. This can be the best way to learn coding.

Actually, It would require comparatively more time. There is no way to escape it. All you can do is to be attentive. Read once and Solve easy numericals first ( You will find after chapter). Then you may read once more and certainly you will get more clarity.

Totally depends on your situation. Like if you can afford (1+2) years of further study and interested in M.Tech, if not getting PSU then it would be fine.
