Some companies check throughout academics CGPA and there you won't get shortlisted. As much as I remember intel was one such company at my time. Most companies will check your current degree CGPA

I got a seat in a state govt college in the branch "Power Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering" is it different from "Electronics and Instrumentation" and if I choose it and give GATE exam of "IN" paper in future, will there be any problems while applying for PSUs? 🫠 because I can't see this specific name of branch in the recruitment announcement pdfs or PSUs like NTPC and etc.. Or else I am thinking of giving "EC" paper and going for Mtech in VlSI or any other streams....in NITs/IITs Please guide me sir

Yes, PE & Instrumentation is not similar to Electronics and Instrumentation. Also, If you are not able to find this branch name in PSU eligibility section then that means it is not allowed. I feel you must take took branch. What is the problem in Classical ECE or ECE vlsi at btech level?

@@Singh-Rajveer The college I am getting is a 3rd tier State govt. college of Assam, guess I will have to try changing branches after 1st year, Since there's also Electronics and Telecommunication branch at the college🫠 I am also getting ETE at a relatively new state govt engg college, But it's away from home and there's not many facilities there like wifi and all....and the 3rd tier college i am getting PE&I at is only 13kms away from home... so I am thinking of staying at home and preparing for gate so I am trying to stay at home and prepare..will it be a good choice?

@@Bishhnuu I guess, No. You have to change branch atleast to Electronics and Instrumentation atleast. ECE would be best if possible to shift next year . PE & Instrumentation eligibility for various PSUs might disappoint you in future.

First you need to complete basic electronics and then you can go for vlsi preparation. Also, If possible then take electronics and communication engineering

Mtech from top colleges (IIT, NIT) is not recommended if ESE prepration is goal. All branches requires a significant efforts. So, You may go with a branch according to the subject you already have command and matches the little bit ESE preparation. That would somewhat ease your both goals.

Government job: Highest Jon security PSUs means public sector unit. Jhan pe kuch hissedaari (51%+)government ki bhi hoti hai. So, It also has better job security compared to private job.

As You already decided to take offline coaching so try to get PSU. It would be certainly a better option if job location is not an issue. VLSI requires a challenge everyday. While PSU Jobs would be more relaxed for sure. So, Give your best and aim for PSU. If you didn't get very good marks( Needed for PSU) and able to get 650+ gate score then you may easily go for Mtech vlsi. There is nothing like average student....once you do something with confidence...you will be able to do it. So as per me, Aim for PSU as of now.

Software developers have high salary if getting product based company. Embedded could be second best option. Rest depends on your choice. But this much gap would create a problem.... mostly companies consider you out of touch from technical world.

1. You need to prepare well. There is nothing like average, just read it, practice it and you will be good in all these subjects. 2. There are 10+ months for GATE and those are enough for placement. 3. Already provided roadmap for digital and analog vlsi both domains on this channel

12th Gap usually overshadowed when someone has done masters just after btech. Still companies may ask the reason. Also, Few companies sometimes put criteria of f 70% across academics and in those cases you won't be eligible. Most of the companies put 7+ cgpa criteria for btech/mtech so 12th doesn't comes into picture

Choose CSE as you already wrote gate in CSE so seems like you are interested in that. Choose vlsi only if you are very much passionate about electronics.

SSC CGL has more money, if aim is to earn money anyhow. VLSI has more money, if you want to earn money honestly. Both are tough to crack. No Job-pressure after cracking SSG CGL as government job security is very high.

1. If companies visits your college, then just prepare relevant subjects and verilog language. 2. Else, network on LinkedIn and apply wherever role is there. Also try to find on apps like naukri. Prepare for fundamental electronics, vlsi subjects, verilog in both cases.

Average Growth is around 15% If Promotion is their like engineer to senior engineer to staff engineer. It would be mostly 25+ growth. So, If someone started with 20 LPA CTC then he can reach 40 LPA even if he does average.

Field to saari acchi hai. But Mostly Signal Processing wale bnde bhi vlsi try krte hai aur kuch apne hi domains me jate hai. So, Domain specific placement on avg 40-45% logo ki hoti hai in Top NITs, IITs. VLSI and other domains mila ke is branch ka placement 60-75% rhta hai usuall.

Or if I join this 5lpa now, how long will it take to get 12lpa?.. Please reply

Hi, Decision of drop would come with the following risk: i). Crack Gate with very good marks ii). Perform & Prepare well in M.Tech iii). Crack top product based company In best case scenario: You will be on 25LPA CTC after 3 Years. While if you do Same amount of hard work in startup your ctc can rise upto 14-15 in 3 Years. Get the start-up experience and crack the product based company as soon as you can do. Once you are into product based company there will be more or less same ctc as mtech vlsi. Both ways: 3Yrs will be needed. If financial constraints are there so this 5LPA would make you earning as well in this time. It's upto you what way you choose.

In IIT Hyderabad u will got smart mobility(AI based branch) In Nit Trichy or Karnataka u can get vlsi also In IIT Roorkee u can get System and control In IIT Madras you can get MS Texas instruments sponsored But u have to crack interview and written In IIT Mandi, Indore u can get VLSI

No bro, for some core jobs it might. But for majority of jobs GATE prep is redundant.
