Chamberlain must have just updated this unit I just prepped this unit for a customer with the 8 ft extension it had me use a full chain no cable 7ft chain and the extension kit had a shorter piece of chain that I attached to the chain that was with the unit, so the only thing I had to toss was the 7ft rail piece for the pulley

A tile nipper works much better for pulling nails. It looks like broad bill pliers that are curved in the back. It will easily pull finish nails and 16d nails.

Never ever put that type of tape on any type of snap n click floor.

When you’re installing any kind of snap n click floor it’s always easier to install the little into the big unless you have your go the other way when you go into another room. Just done an herringbone doglegged floot hallway used multitool for the door jambs another tool you could use is a plunge saw i use a mitesaw more or less what youve stated going to do my bedroom in herringbone a different style to my hallway with underlay then going to use an hardwood threshold strip between both rooms had to take 4 doors off to take a few mill off the bottoms off the doors

If you are anywhere near Ohio, just drive to the factory in Waverly. Office staff is helpful. You can see the cabinets on display. We got ours on a fantastic sale. It took about an hour for them to put the order together, then we just pulled around to the dock to pick up. Once ready for pickup, someone will go over everything with you to make sure you get everything.

Most of these come from Vietnam and use the same cheap wood type and manufacturing process. Only difference is the assembly options and hardware. The company you buy these from do not build them, they either drop ship or stock in there warehouse. These are really not that great. Cheap wood that dents too easily and very low grade paint that is too thin. Basically a small step above garbage but still garbage.

wood jams are easy but what about dealing with metal ones? Do you try to cut the jam or just but youe laminate to flush meeting to jam?

Hold the plank to the insi9de of the door jam ,lock in it in and tap it over to the proper placement

You buried your base molding. Have fun removing that down the road. And Adding shoe will make the base molding look like it’s an inch tall.

Man someone help me out so I broke the spout on my place the plastic assembly SNAPPED so rushed to Home Depot to get a spout and I assembled it and it shot out and hit me in the DAMN KNEE I decided to put it together again and used a drill to tighten it and now it doesn’t shoot at me but it drips from the back when I pull the knob up did I miss a instruction should I have caulked the inside pipe? Or what or maybe my drill fucked it up mind u I did not put it that tight just semi tight

All of your videos are really good. I have a lot of left over Mohawk laminate. Can I use the laminate in my bathrooms? My concern is under the toilet. Would the laminate swell due to moisture? I rather use vinyl but I need to use up the laminate I already purchased. Thanks to all that reply.

Very nice. I'm excited to find out that these cutters can be used for laminate as I thought they were only for vinyl. I used my miter saw to do 1,200 SF of laminate and dust was everywhere (annoying AF).

Why did you only do 1/3rd of the job?? How about reinforcing the deadbolt and the frame of the door with an 18 inch kick plate held in place with 3 inch screws. Also replacing 2 screws in each hinge with 3 inch screws also

Great video, thank you for sharing! @ 0:24 It looks like another way to install (but not explained in the video) with the two screw holes parallel to the wall directly through the jamb extension into the stud. That looks a whole lot easier than buying/renting the pocket hole machine (@ 4:30 ) and also structurally stronger than screwing into the jamb itself, though I can see how the pocket hole machine allows for hiding of the holes. This video is very helpful, again, thank you for sharing! I have two jamb extensions I need to install on an exterior door.

Thanks for this video! My first (and last) time laying laminate flooring!! I just have the doorframe to do...but needs to fit up to the metal doorstop as carpet is fitted other side of the door! Also i dont have any power tools to remove the doorframe...would a hacksaw do the job?!!
