I love being in the outdoors any time of year. I loved hunting with my dad and I'm sure your son loves hunting with you. I hunted with my dad every chance I could. He hunted elk till he was almost 81. He was like a little kid when we'd go. I sure miss him but I'll always have the great memories. You're an amazing person and an amazing butler.

Im confused tword the end. I can do a full bugle and the start and mid of chuckle i just dont know how to get the deep tube sound if that makes sense. Ive tried my voice and experimented with air pressure but still cant get it. Do you possibly know why?

Do you feel like there is a difference between just a nasty raspy bugle and the lip bawl? Seems like the lip bawl is a lot more aggressive fighting bugle where just say raspy bugle is not so aggressive? Could you touch on this please

I’m just learning how to use this but am amazed at how easy the bugle is to pick up… However, I’ll second or third the notion to not over think it… I was trying to use it and was struggling to just get a decent bugle. I let my 2 kiddos use it (8 & 9) and they started getting the bugle sound after a couple of tries. They were able to get a heard of elk to even bugle back. Which I was stoked for them but made me wonder why they got it so quickly… eventually I realized I was trying too hard (lips curled tight, too much pressure, etc). I’m excited to practice some of these other calls with this… Though I may bring one of my kiddos along as my caller for hunting season since they seem to be picking this up faster than me! 🤣

So it’s only one buck around what will protect the herd of does from the carnivores other than the carnivore that just shot the lead buck? They just took the lead protector?
@THEBUGLERBRAND5 ай бұрын
That’s not how it works actually. The buck and does both use their speed and agility to escape predators. The buck uses his antlers mostly for fighting other bucks for breeding rights. Although if a predator were to corner him with no escape he would use his antlers to fight, but 90% of the time the deer will outrun any predators with the exception of mountain lions who are faster and more agile in short distances. Wolves will run animals until they cannot resist any longer, then eating them alive.

That's awesome Dirk. I have that exact same rifle, it was a gift from my dad when I getting into hunting. He bought it from a friend of his and I carried it around the deer woods with him. I've thought about selling it but it holds too much sentimental value to me. It sits in my gun safe and I have often thought about putting a new scope on it and taking it out. You may have just motivated me to do so. Thanks for sharing!!

Nice! love the old 8mm actions. This year I'm going out with my dads 270 winchester modle 70 with a new scope. He rocked a 4x bushnell and had a run on 16 moose and multiple mule deer in B.C. Canada. He passed away in in 92. My son has taken a few deer with it and I took my first deer with the same rifle. Always a good time to treasure a family firearm. So many memories

Start out making a growling noise, allowing your bottom lip to just barely touch the latex. Once you get the latex to buzz with your voice growl, apply pressure little by little and increase your air volume a little ti climb the staircase of notes.

Paint or stain rafters black then fill in between rafters with light pine or cedar you would need to nail some 1” nailers to put the light colored boards on to cover the insulation. This way you can make a mess on the insulation when painting or staining rafters. Definitely leave the attic open. It already looks nice and clean. Cedar always looks amazing and it smells so good.
