After my self hard working in 8 months I am now on walker. My glut med both really weak, and in a month I will be on my legs by the will of our great God. I've been working on touching my toes for 3 months now, couldn't even do it when I was in sports as a kid. Just genetically not flexible, and it has done wonders, wonders on my ability to bend over. Like no joke. I still can't touch my toes but maybe one day.

Thanks for sharing this information and methods. It all made sense and I will surely be more aware of my movement going forward. I would like to suggest to you that, with this video, a lot of what you shared was lost to us viewers due to you wearing dark colours in front of a dark background. the second exercise was almost invisible.

Thanks for a very informative video. I have had adjustments for years from Chiropractors and Osteopaths which have helped my low back issues. A few years ago I was treated by a Gonstead Chiropractor - he performed a adjustment on my left side ilium/ SI joint. In over 20 years no other chiropractor had adjusted me this way. He had me lie on my right side and used a lot of force coming straight down on top of my hip/ilium. The adjustment left me in a lot of pain through my SI joint and groin. Somehow he managed to completely change the position of my pelvis. I could no longer walk properly or fold one leg over the other while sitting on a chair. I'm now left with serious sciatica as the Piriformis on that side is compressing the nerve. Sitting and standing still cause a lot of pain. My GP ordered a lumbar spine MRI which showed minor issues are L4 L5. Would you reccomend that I get an MRI of my SI joint ? Thanks for any advice.

I have 11 herniated discs. 4 cervical, 4 thoracic, and 3 lumbar. I live a pretty miserable existence. I see a chiropractor but she's not addressing the things that you're talking about here. I'm gonna try these exercises for my neck c-6 is causing many problems. I'm too far from you in Pa. I won't give up but it's becoming harder and harder to function😢

Back in 02, and after a year of trying a number of things, it came to a fusion L5 S1. I went into surgery on a Monday at 07:00hrs, and out around 13:00hrs, home the next day (Tuesday at 11:00). The following Monday, I was back to work. I was pain free until 5, to 6 months later when scar tissue started. Again, tried caro, water ther, rub-downs, stretching, and ... Well, the scar tissue decided to attack S1, then S2. In 04 my Doc sent me to PM. Now it was the drug game, trying 4, 5, 6, different meds, some worked, but I slept, some worked 3, 4 hours and I needed another, it became a nightmare. I ended up where the PM Doc said, let's try 40mg Meth with 3, 750 vics a day. I did not want the Meth due to the stigma attached to it, but I tried it. Well, it worked, but I was a zombie, not knowing day or time. I was out of the system. I was / still with USCG, DHS, and FD, as well as a Natl. firearms instructor, this had to stop. I told PM I was going to stop the V-750s by taking 1 away every ten days. I wanted to see where the pain started. By the end of the month I was off the V-750s, then I asked the Doc for 8, 5mg instead of 4, 10s, and my plan was take 5 away every ten days. I found myself getting back to my old self. After about a year, I cut myself back to 5mg, 3 times a day. I am in pain, but when I am busy, I do not notice it. At 75, I am still with USCG as SO CM, Teaching Navigation, and firearm safety. I feel like I am living a somewhat normal 75-year-old life. At one time the doc said another surgery my do it, I said, another surgery will only make more scar tissue, No thanks. Don't fall for it.

My S I joint issues are affecting my knee. I was Rx gabapentin without any pin meds and or steroids, so it hasn’t done much. Chiropractor was useless. My primary wants to send me to pin management clinic when they would probably go for a nerve block. When I said SI joint to my doctor he looked at my like I had two heads. Then I said “ you call it my hip”. 😂

This seems my last month’s story. Just started to have this huge neck pain from nowhere. Had 5 sessions with an osteopath and did MRI to cervical and shoulder. I am waiting for a consultation with an orthopedist but not sure if he will help… the reports didn’t point to any specific problem… maybe a little bit with the shoulder… but let’s see. Hope I am able to solve this soon :)

Hi. Thank you for your great videos. I often wake up with numbness in my small and ring fingers, which varies depending on which side I sleep on. This is likely due to a pinched nerve in my neck i think. Will these exercises help alleviate the issue?

Omg…I think I have this. I was laying on my left side propped up by some pillows reading and all of a sudden I felt a pop and shift and was in so much pain. I thought I broke a rib. That was three years ago and have been in pain since. It super hurts when I sit in a chair and turn to open a drawer or reach for something. If I am turned a certain way like twisting to reach in the backseat of my car from outside it I have pain. It doesn’t really hurt in the back near the spinal cord, more to the left side .

Im not a big fan of lifts to the shoe. A hip hike can be functional in that the QL is overused and has become so tight, it pulls the pelvis up. This occurs because of other muscles not pulling their weight, usually the glute medius on the same side the tight QL is on.

Excellent video!! I absolutely love the fact that you teach us and educate us on how our joints and muscles work before showing us the exercises for them. The use of the skeleton to show us how we hold our necks extended instead of sitting on our spine is life changing. I had heard of it many many times before, but the visual that you provided put everything into perspective for me. Thank you so much for helping us. God bless you and your family.
