I had the same problem with my rx 6600 XT from xtx version qick. Hot spot on this card was even 105c. Year ago i changed from thermal grizzly to ptm and it was really big change. On thermal grizzly i still had like 20-25c delta depends on game but now at full load on furmark its like 20c delta, in game its more like 10-15c

I have a Sapphire Nitro+ card running in both of my rigs, the main gaming rig has an Nitro+ Vapor-X RX 7900 XTX and the second system has an Nitro+ RX 6950 XT. Idk why but my rx 6600xt by gigabyte after two years now was giving me 76c core and 95 to 97c hotspot in games like hogwarts legacy and even gta 5, later in nfs unbound. Results were more in hogwarts legacy, until I gave it to the seller and he sent the gpu for rma and all they did was repasting and it’s still under warranty. Day one and it was all good, other day it just became so worse like core and hotspot temps were like 79 to 80c and 100 to 105c until the system reboot itself. I decided to disassemble the whole pc and just clean everything, though I clean every month. I have a thick radiator from deepcool le 500 which wasn’t able to be mounted on the top so I switched my front two fans with radiator as an intake and those fans as an exhaust on top. Not so good ik that as it pulls hot air, also today I noticed that the gpu is assembled with all screws tight, still I see a gap on one side, a medium sized gap like it isn’t mounted properly. Idk but I had contacted again and the seller has asked me to give it to him and he’ll see what he can do.

Don't know why the industry hasn't innovated a solution that's being growing ( literally ) over the years? "Cards" stopped being "cards" when they went from single slot with minimal weight to a card with 1KG of copper and aluminum hanging off one side. The PCIE ( or any connector ) should NOT be used as a structural support. Vertical mounting the GPU connected by the flexible cable takes pressure off of the PCB connector.

@@TechnologyHive hoje apliquei a Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme, vamos ver quanto tempo aguenta! Já apliquei a Grizzly Kryonaut comum... durou 8 meses, só troquei porque abri o PC para limpar, aproveitei e troquei thermalpads e a pasta térmica... certamente iria durar pelo menos 1 ano e meio ou mais!

How do we get exact size for 14700k CPU?

@fahim454 You'd have to look on Amazon and select the right size. Or just buy the biggest they've got and then cut it to size.

I'm interested in the Thermal Conductivity (w/mk) of Conductonaut Extreme, PhaseSheet PTM and the KryoSheet. But amazingly these are found NOWHERE on their website. Not under Technical Details, and not even in the datasheet I downloaded. What are the values? And why the hell are they not being transparent with this information?

Because this information is only relevant in the lab, not for the end user. Not everyone is running the same system, under the same circumstances. Der8aur and Steve from Gamers Nexus talked about this very topic in one of their videos, and they made a good point on how many companies now just throw that number around like paper, when in reality it really means nothing in terms of performance because it depends on the application and end user. For example, I have thermal pads rated at 1.3 w/mk from Arctic, and they perform as good as Upsiren's "15 w/mk" which cost a lot more. Thermal Grizzly's Liquid metal, both based on gallium, perform the same thermal wise. The difference between the two is the Extreme version is more resistant to run-off and has a bit higher density, but performs almost the same as the original Conductonaut.

@@TechnologyHive Of course things always change depending on the actual application. But that's not to say the conductivity numbers don't mean anything, especially if it stipulates for an ideal application. For the three products I mentioned above, all state they have "optimal thermal conductivity", which is kinda BS because we already know without a doubt the Conductonaut Extreme is going to be the best considering ideal application. I'd like to gauge how far PhaseSheet and KryoSheet are behind it and the easiest way is with the conductivity values of the material.
