Still rocking hard in 2024. I'm still using mine after six years of running 12-16 hours daily it works flawlessly. One of the fans rattles a bit at very high fan speed but limiting the fan speed solves it and the card still runs 15º below thermal throttling. Other than repasting and removing the dust no extra maintenance.

One of the better cards I’ve had over the years. I still use rx580. I wish I wouldn't have cheap out on cooling and bought 3 fans design with big radiator. Instead of 2 slot, 2 fan tiny 3 heatpipes radiator.
@TechnologyHive7 ай бұрын
What are your temperatures with that heatsink setup?
@GreatVomitto7 ай бұрын
I usually set my card to 100 W while I game. 1250Mhz core, 1V. Temperatures are around 65-70. 2 90mm fans around 2000 rpm. At stock card was set to 85C while gaming and it was too much for me. Model of a card :Gigabyte Radeon RX 580 GAMING 8GB GDDR5. Furthermore, one of the fans is not balanced. Makes this repeated sound at certain speeds and whole case rattles. So I have to set the cooling to fixed speed where is no rattle. @@TechnologyHive

Doing a budget build with a RX 580 later - which drivers are ideal? If I go to AMD's website under the 580 support page, it looks like they are recommending the newest drivers (24.3...) I've read to only use 23.11.1 or lower. Also, I plan on selling the PC after I build it. So if I get 23.11.1, with adrenalin software - will it stay at the driver? What if the user updates it via adrenalin because it says there is a newer one? Will Windows try to auto-update to a newer one than 23.11.1? Please advise the best thing to do?
@TechnologyHive7 ай бұрын
I installed the latest driver. If you got your information from Reddit, for example, take what's on there with a grain of salt always. The latest drivers fixed an issue for me with AC Valhalla where the game would just not load. I'd definately go with the latest drivers. No question.
