You got a very beautiful family, thank you so much for all the information. As much as I love hiking not everyone on my family does and all of this is perfect for non hard core hikes. Thank you 🙏

With all the details included, I'm shocked that mealtimes were never shown/ addressed. Literally in day 1 right now, and very confused about what to do during mealtimes- I started heating up pre-made food after an accident so I thought we would have a longer window without pee. But he still went pee in his high-chair, but because of the tray I didn't see it. I bought the Lora Jenson book, but no mention of how to handle this. Hopefully we can stick this out for the 3 days.

Omg, no hate here, but why do we need to make such a big deal. That is definitely not practical for busy parents. I did not have time myself as I had to go back to work shortly after my maternity leave had been over. Good it was the nursery staff that sorted this out in a great way. I wonder what people used to do 100 years back!?

I’m on day 4 of this method and it hasn’t quite clicked for my child. She is still having accidents and won’t tell me when she needs to go potty. Any tips?? Also, should I be giving rewards every time we go into the bathroom (regardless of whether or not she peed in her underwear) or only giving the reward if her underwear was dry?
@kellyboyed787715 күн бұрын
Can’t you just put the nappy on top of the underwear so they get the consequence but still not get it everywhere? We are in a rental so definitely cannot have accidents all over the house. I’ll give it a go with the nappy on top and see how we get on

Great information! Instead of throwing those unused diapers you could repkg it & donate it to another family. Have him throw it into a garbage can with a clean trash bag instead. And donate those clean diapers instead.

Well that baby is definitely closer to 2 than he is to 1, but I guess these could be activities a 1 year old could start doing.

Isaac: 14:56 I'm telling you guys, my old man talks about stick all the time. Since that unfortunate trip to Yosemite Park, and him crying over a 'magic stick' thrown into the water I always carry one, in case he needs it.
@robertmayfield8746Ай бұрын
Isaac: My old man found a stick and thought it has magic powers 🤣 So I've thrown the stick into the water, to make it a boat, and to show to my dad it's just a regular stick. And he experienced little crisis, and cried, oh no what have you done to the magic stick? And I thought, oh great, now he's crying over the random stick he found on the path. And then he found another one and thought this one is magical too 🤣 He's getting old.

14:10 To break the tower at this age, that's also a skill. So, young mum, don't worry and don't get frustrated your toddler didn't follow your instructions 😁 I'd follow and build and break with him together, remembering small children know what they want to learn/exercise at the particular moment. Even if for adult that's sooooo stupid, that's actual skill that creates basis for more complex skills. Exercise breaking, when they want to. Observe your child and facilitate their activity. These games are to help parents to figure out how simple and creative such activity can be. But not necessarily to follow everything dot-by-dot, and not to get angry when little one doesn't follow🤣 Interaction between you two is the actual goal🏌♂

Great video, thank you! Did you do any prompting yourself? Or did you just keep with the phrase “tell me when…” and let him lead entirely?
