I actually went through a course at BernieU and I am HRPA certified now. But I can't seem to get a job because everybody is looking for like 1 to 2 years of experience. I just don't know what to do should I still apply cuz I've been certified now even though I don't have the experience? Please any help would be much appreciated.

On all of the job applications I’ve had to fill out, I’ve been forced to enter a numerical value for my desired salary. I couldn’t enter text. I couldn’t leave it blank. I was forced to give a number.

Too much

The problem is that we have talentless people judging talented people for jobs that require talent…this doesn’t work because you end up hiring people because you like them or they cracked a funny joke or they look like you instead of what can they actually do and what do they know…now the best and brightest are on the bench while the less talented blabber mouths are getting all the jobs and only keeping them because they clique up in work cults and barely do anything at work…

If companies hated job hoping they would give generous rises to the people staying in order to keep them. Instead they incentivize people to move on by giving a 3-7% increase a year vs 15-80% increase when you switch employers. The gap is so big that switching a job three times over a few years may get you more than the employee who sticked with one company for several years. So, basically companies hate the market they themselves have created.

By "smaller or mid size companies value longer term employees more" you mean they give them enough money to consider staying longer as beneficial or you mean that they just prefer their employees to be loyal, but without any incentive to do that?

Maybe I do need a boring job in my career so employers can gauge my company loyalty (prevent me from job hopping)

Large corporations with stated pay bands don't allow for too much wiggle room, unfortunately.

I recently graduated from university with a BS degree in Paralegal and honestly have NO job experience due to health issues, but tons of volunteerism and returning to the labor force, so I am wondering how to form a video resume.

I’m too little

If these companies kept up with the market rate for a job they would not worry about job hopping. I am personally trying to push my job to give me a pay raise to the market value because a quick job change can give me a 20% increase. I like my job and do not want to change jobs but I have bills and they increase at market rate, my pay should too.

Behavior questions cost me jobs a lot of times because I'm just not good at them. I always prepare for interview I can answer some of those but those behavior questions I get stomped every time

I'm horrible with the behavior Questions at a interview Because the question that they asking you it never happened And then it's like you're thinking of a lie and then after a while forget what I'm talking about because it didn't actually happen
