Air moves both way into and out of the crankcase. This mod creates a direct path of unfiltered air & other environmental contaminats into the engine. This also deletes a primary emmisions system. The tube that was removed is the type 4 pcv system. What is truly and desperately needed for all diesel engines is a hight flow, zero restrictions catch can system. The currently avaliable systems require manifold vacuum to function. Manifold vacuum is not available on a turbo charge diesel. Thus, the only consistent source of any vacuum is the turbo inlet.

What would cause my front to still be lower than the rear after installing 3” keys and overhauling my front end with kryptonite UCA’s, tie rods, links? I got the truck it initially had 2” keys and already sit level, I got 3” keys so that I could run them less cranked, but even fully cranked it still won’t level out?!?!

@truckmastergarage9944 as always, solid video. Question regarding the Rough Country front bumper… it looks great, but did you fab. a 1500 bumper to fit the 2500? How did you mount it? Any thoughts are appreciated! Keep doing good work.🍻

A little trick i have always done while putting the control arms back on is put them straight up and down on a floor jack then jack it up right into place. Put the control arm bolts in and then swing it up into place. I also stick the springs and shocks in with the control arm all the way down like literally straight up and down then put the end of the control arm on a jack and jack it up with the weight of the truck compressing the spring into place. Helps a ton. My first couple years wrenching i would use the coil compressors and just fight fight and fight them. Makes a big difference when you raise and lower the truck to get the parts in place. I also prefer to keep the truck low towards the ground. For me its better to keep the rear axle within the range of the lift kit. So if im doing a 6in lift id jack the back wheels about 7in off the ground. Same with the front. Use the truck and gravity to help install these parts. I just grabbed this same lift kit from the junkyard today for 50 bucks complete. Whole damn 6in rc lift kit for 50 dollars! I lost sleep over it last night worrying about someone going and grabbing it before i could. Needless to say i was the first one at the gate this morning. I just need to clean it and its good to go!

STAY AWAY! I purchased 2 GMC Sierra’s last year, the first one was a SLT and I had a few issues, mainly lack of towing features. SO… I traded it for the 3.0 AT4 and initially I LOVED IT! Then I started towing my 6,000n lb camper. On my first trip I topped off the DEF at about 300 miles. Then 100 miles later I got the DEF LOW warning SPEED REDUCED in xxx miles. WTF! So I pulled over when I could and tried to put DEF in the tank, IT WOULD NOT TAKE IT??? I had 1000 more miles to go and I had DEF on hand, over the truck Alan was wondering WHEN WOULD THIS TRUCK STOP? Long story short, I had to find a campground, unhitch and take the truck to service. On the way to service the truck fixed itself??? They ran diagnostics and said your truck is GREAT? I hooked up and at another 300 miles the same warning came on, then it went away just before miles were reduced. the truck was in a an out of service with no solution. My father, a former GM HD Truck Engineer said “Dump that thing” and that what I did. I now have a Ford Powerstroke 2500.. NO PROBLEMS.. GM took that truck out of the oven too soon

Dang! I missed this vid. Will your kit work on my 2007 6.6 2500 hd. I do have that oil build up which isn’t much, just annoying as I really work on keeping everything clean in the engine bay. 277 k and runs like sewing machine. I’ve never let the oil go beyond 4000.

- long crank was fixed - oil leaks suck and can happen with any engine. Lots of newer gas trucks need rear main seals from leaks. I had mine repaired on 2 different f150”s. - emission is BS. Def-dpf-scr-egr are all crap that should not be in a diesel. Out of those 4 things I could see use for an EGR when temperatures are below 0°C as it helps keep engine temps and warms the engine up faster. As someone who drives semi for a living in the oilfield and drives a combination of emissions and deleted trucks. The best performing trucks for cold weather are deleted trucks that keep an EGR. They can at least keep engine temps when it’s -30°C where as no EGR the cab is cold. I have a 3.0 and it’s been great so far in year 1 other than emissions. When towing and at half a tank of DEF it thinks it’s running empty and you have to top it up or else it threatens you with reduced power. All in all I love my 3.0. If they come out with a delete for the LZO I’ll be getting that done and keeping the truck as long as possible. I have it oil sprayed by Krown and PPF on the entire thing to prolong the life.

Might want to clarify this is referencing the LM2 engine. The LZ0 fixed these problems. Still aluminum block, but forged Crank, Rods and Pistons now as well as steel cylinder sleeves. The HP has been bumped up to 310 and Ft LB torque is right at 500 now.

There's a air bleeder on the top of the thermostat housing you need to pull out until coolant comes out to make sure you don't have an Air bubble in your system. VERY IMPORTANT..!

Thank you great tips, just got done doing the same today. Yes it can be done, but you will have drank a lot of beer, cursed a lot and may have to walk away for a few mins. Very time consuming, I ended having an easier time than in the video for some parts and harder for others…. I pretty much had the phone next to me while doing it lol

Does rerouting the PCV not hamper its effectiveness by removing the vacuum pressure the turbo creates? Will all crankcase vapors be efficiently removed without the excess suction from the intake pulling on it? Or can this lead to higher crankcase pressures and more risk of blow by?

Sometimes I wonder if we're getting catfished with all the "needed" parts we keep being told we should install.... I have installed CAI and intercooler from banks and just installed PPE stainless 3" down pipe. I can attest to better fuel economy, acceleration and towing, but when does it end? I have the Air Dog 5G 165 lift pump standing by to install.... Yeesh!
